The room was not clean when we checked in. When we returned later on, we found evidence of bed bugs .. and then learned of efforts of several weeks to clear out the bed bugs in our rooms and nearby rooms. We did not stay and demanded a return of our payments. Worst rooms we have ever encountered!

We stay at the Mountainview Inn on occasion, and we normally do not experience any issues. This time, we were placed in a room that had ants in it, by the lamps and the window. We notified the woman at the desk and she didn’t seem to believe us, and had the nerve to have a bit of an attitude when we brought it to her attention. We ended up leaving the next morning. Hopefully they are able to resolve this issue for their future guests. I also have videos of the ants to show that I am not lying.

We have stayed here several times. This trip the rates seemed somewhat higher. The King suite was recently remodeled and was clean. The problems 1. the gas fireplace did not work. 2. the jacuzzi tub did not work. 3. the bath fan did not work. All the reasons we spend the extra money got us nothing. It was cold (20 deg F) and they were always propping the stairwell door open, maybe afraid the pipes would freeze. This made the hallway right outside our room very cold. I closed it and it was propped open again an hour later. This could be our last time staying there. Also they replaced what was 2 wingback chairs witha little "chaise" that really only was comfortable for 1 person.

We so enjoyed our suite complete with living room, den, kitchen, king-sized bedroom, dining room and a powder room in addition to the main bathroom. We had a lovely fireplace, two televisions and a wonderful view of the mountains. My hubby saw a spectacular sunrise as I slept on... :-) It was a most peaceful and lovely stay!

The view was great, but we had a view of the service station. There was no clock in the room and there was no answer to the phone to the desk or for wakeup, just a constant deedle, deedle, deedle, etc.

Very Disappointed!
Disappointing! The hotel décor was old and drab.... our room had very few amenities. Light bulbs were out -- they offered very few towels-- the mattress has clearly seen better days-- not comfortable at all! With so many hotels in the area to choose from, I was very disappointed. Breakfast wasn't great either-- no fruit and everything was processed.

Would I stay here again? Probably not.
It is an olds hotel. First room, 323 had a very strong chemical smell that gave us both a headache. Smelled like it had recently been decontaminated. There were also what appeared to be two large blood stains on the head of the mattress. Moved to 319. Mattress was very old and stained. Lumpy and uncomfortable. We made the best of it.

We were in town for our sister's funeral. It was clean and comfortable. They gave us a suite on the 4th floor which was appreciated for our extended stay. Breakfast was great. It was quiet which we needed. Some parts were under construction but all in all it was a great place and convenient to our family.

This place was awesome. Modern, immaculate rooms, pets stay free and there are fully fenced pet areas. Free parking, friendly staff, washer/dryer available (bring your own soap and quarter), full free breakfast, pancakes,bagels,eggs, sausage, pastries, etc and a great price.

This is what remains of an old inn that grew and grew as a venue for lots of weddings and parties. It was furnished in a colonial style with antiques and flowered wallpaper and was quirky and charming. The dining room was large and had excellent food with live piano music in the background. It was probably about 1990 when they added on the current wings of large hotel rooms still furnished with reproduction and actual antiques and flowered wallpapers. It was genteel and charming. Now the current owners seem to be trying hard to fix up a property that had been neglected for many years and are n't quite there yet. My room was huge with new modern gray furniture with orange accents. But there was still an old beat up dining room table and the kitchenette was very outdated. There was a large jetted tub with mirrors behind it and the walk in shower was discolored with what was probably mold. There was a floor lamp with no light bulb and when I asked for one they said they would replace it after I left. The price was inexpensive though and the bed comfortable. As I said the owners seem to be trying to fix it up so maybe it will be better in the future.

This is an older property with a few issues of being older, but it was a great option for the money! Staff was friendly and helpful. Location was in a nice setting. We did not have the parking issues, but I don't believe the hotel was full either. It would be nice to have the spots marked.

The property and the staff were spot on my only complaint is that they need to invest in some comfortable mattresses. The ones they currently have is like sleeping on a pile of bricks, very uncomfortable.

From the outside, this place looked very nice. The parking lot was a bit of a challenge and the places was pretty booked and the lines in the lot were almost non existent, so people made their own spots leaving a half Spence between cars. Inside the lobby, it was rather dark. No one was standing at the desk, but we were promptly greeted by a nice gentleman who checked us in. The decor was confusing as nothing matched and seemed to have several themes. Chipped paint and broken tiles on the elevator floor didn’t give us the best feeling. We made it to our room and smelled bleach, so at least we felt that it was clean. We had brought leftovers from lunch earlier in the day and went to heat them in the microwave and found someone’s cold ramen noodles in their. The bathroom was clean, but the toilet was running and wouldn’t flush. I had to jiggle the thing in the back each time to get it to fill to work properly. The decor in their was also confusing, like maybe they considered updating but only did a bit, with the new tile floor and tub surround. Silver toilet paper holder that didn’t quite sit tight to the wall, but copper /burnt orange sink bowl and bronze faucet. BUT, it was clean and functioned and the guy at the desk was nice. It was a bed to sleep in for the night which was our goal, so it met our needs.
