Stayed 2 nights at the Winnoch. Ideal base for touring around Loch Lomond area. Food very good and all staff very helpful. Room very comfortable. Only one criticism, WiFi very poor.

Let down by soundproofing
Room was decent: good size, clean and reasonably comfortable bed. Bathroom was fine: but some of the grout on shower tiles gone black. Shower pressure good but one of those showers that only comes to head height so you have to bend down to wash your hair. My major issue was the extractor / aircon noise. I think I was above the kitchen and it droned loudly until 10.30pm. Coupled with neighbouring rooms leaving their bathroom light / extractor on, it was really annoying. You can also hear conversations in neighbouring rooms. Didn't get peace until about 11.30pm. So it's not ideal if you want to get up early and go walking...
But the breakfast was great. Didn't get to try the food in the evening.
Room and facilities were tired. Fire proof door to room was badly fitted, drawers to cupboards were broken bed springs were felt when sleeping. Tap in bathroom gave hot water whichever way it was turned.
Staff were all pleasant and helpful. Food in evening 2/5. Overall hotel was tired, felt like the management needed to sort building and systems out.
Another excellent stay at Winnock fabulous a-tentative staff and such an enjoyable expierance Food and drinks were great hotel plus room was high standard exceptionally clean which all made for such an enjoyable stay
Stayed for a night with family, the overall experience was good. Check-in was quick, staff were helpful. The room was clean and spacious. Dinner and breakfast were very good as well.
The room was a long walk from the car park which was a negative, we had to carry the suitcases and climb the steps as there is not lift.
The hotel was well situated near Loch Lomond. Staff where friendly and food was really good at the restaurant. Service was poor in terms of getting food on time and getting the right order, however this is understandable considering the COVID-19 situation. The shower was terrible with almost no pressure. All in all good start and clean
Location was perfect. Food was cold, both meals. Cutlery brought out 10 minutes after food, felt forgotten about during meal times, waited 30 minutes for drinks. Waited 45 minutes for breakfast, rude staff. Would not stay again. Would not recommend eating here.
We had a problem with the shower in our room and were upgraded to a superior room. Have stayed several times before and have staff always friendly and polite. The hotel is good value for money in a lovely location.
First hotel of our trip and first hotel we visited during covid restrictions. Reassured by the cleanliness, plenty of sanitizer available to use. Room clean and comfortable. This is an old hotel, first part built in the 18 century so the rooms are not large, also sound proofing of the rooms is not as good as modern hotels but you have to expect this from a hotel like this. Dinner was from a restricted menu but could not be faulted and the traditional Scottish breakfast set us up for the rest of the day. Village was nice for a short walk around. We would stay again if returning to the same area.
The hotel was lovely and i realy enjoyed my stay bed was realy comfy and staff was realy nice to talk to i would recommend this hotel and stay here again
The hotel itself is lovely and clean. We have ordered breakfast and that was bad - only 2 people serving, forgetting what was ordered and taking forever to bring it.

Ok for a short break
Hotel room is fresh and good condition. Some communal areas need bit refreshed up as bit dated. Staff were helpful. Not bad for short break in Drymen.
We had a lovely time staying at the hotel. The room was lovely and the service was good. We had lunch in the bar which was nice, we loved the coal fire, a nice place to have a drink!
Very old building but friendly staff and lively bar lounge area. Food and drink reasonably priced with excellent choices.
The evening live entertainment (till midnight) was very loud and our room was situated above bar and next to a communal access door which was very busy and noisy throughout the night and early morning. No soundproofing which kept us awake.
We will certainly revisit this hotel on our next trip to Drymen but will opt to stay at another hotel.
Room was very clean but it was too hot. Towel rail is permanetly on and temperature cannot be teduced. Shower is spacious and shower gel is provided. Towels are of excellent quality and a good size.
An environmental notice regarding the amount of water used washing towels was prominently displayed but yet they issue plastic single use tumblers wrapped in plastic!
Teally poor vegetarian breakfast, no substitues for sausages, bacon etc.
