Stayed in a hut with a log burner. We had an outside shower which could have been warmer and have had a light but it was certainly refreshing and a unique experience. Our dog also had a wonderful stay... Hope to return!

Beautiful Yorkshire Inn. Rosedale room was spacious and decorated beautifully. Very comfortable bed. Staff friendly and attentive nothing was too much trouble. Food lovely especially the cooked breakfast in the morning. Would highly recommend The Fauconberg Inn.

Service impeccable, nothing too much effort. Running us up to the Black Swan and back unexpected but showed how they went the extra mile. Would definitely stay again.

Good place away from it all
Stayed for one night just after the New Year. Good-sized comfortable bedroom. Bathroom quite small featuring shower cubicle and toilet, with wash basin in the bedroom itself. Had evening meal there which was very good and not overly-expensive. Cooked breakfast in the morning was excellent. Situated in a small village south of Thirsk, I would have no hesitation in recommending to others.

Fantastic Stay on the Yorkshire Moors

We had a lovely stay. Staff was friendly. The room was really nice with an amazing view. Breakfast was great and the food in the restaurant was really good, too.

Fantastic stay
A lovely warm welcome, and through out our stay the staff were wonderful. This inn is full of charm and character set in a peaceful retreat. The atmosphere within the inn was great all guests and local clientele were all cheerful and friendly which lead to a relaxing three days. No faults at all with our stay, the food was supurb, the fish and chips is massive and tasty along with the home made steak pie.

Enjoyed our stay after not being there since 1975! Food and room were great and the views fab. Landlady very friendly and the pub is handy for the local speciality diner. The only thing was the Thrixendale did not have a shower but a nice big bath with a hand shower. Interesting church in the village and handy for Sutton Bank
