Rooms very tired and look like they haven’t had any attention since 1970. The view however is spectacular. Overall, this hotel could be incredible but needs a multi million investment programme to bring the rooms into the current century

In short, not worthy it’s 5stars and by no means it’s price tag. Hotel had its best years probably 20 years ago. The rooms are old and stuffy. Not properly cleaned with dust on shelves. The dinner and breakfast was mediocre. The worst part however was the staff. Starting with the hotel manager who didn’t put any efforts into welcoming and engaging with guests. Concierge and other staff was unfriendly and careless. For example cars standing outside were not locked after being moved by staff, shuttle service to the ski lifts was not available in an efficient way - after waiting for 20min and follow up question the response from the staff that was clearly just chilling was that they are not running a bus service… Overall worst 5 star experiences. Not worthy the 5. Would not recommend to anyone considering the cost “benefit” ratio.

I was a bit worried before visiting Steigenberger Grandhotel Belvedere Davos because I saw some negative reviews in the past. But after spending a week in here (room 127 - checked in on 21st December 2022), I can confirm this is a true 5 stars hotel!! It is the 5th times I came to Davos skiing with my families and we stayed in another 5 stars hotel before. I have to say that Steigenberger Davos gave us the best Christmas experience. All staff were friendly and helpful. Excellent house keeping. Great service in restaurants - especially the waiter and chef in Romeo & Juliet restaurant. Pool area was well maintained by the joyful staff we meet. Great pianist and staff in the bar. Cheerful receptionists in front desk. Both ladies in the kids club were amazing. All drivers of the shuttle service were so helpful and they helped us with our luggages when we checked in/out with a smile. The marketing lady had organised 5 days of very memorable Christmas themed events (from 22nd to 26th December) that my daughter, my wife and I loved so much. The male manager was very visible day and night - he was so ready to help any guests immediately should any problems arise. Well I can go on for another hour lol… But I think it is best if you come to visit this hotel and experience it yourself. Big thank you for the great team in Steigenberger Davos giving my family such a wonderful holiday. We will certainly come back again in the future!!

Great Skiing Vacation Hotel in Davos
Had a great stay at Belvedere during our skiing holiday under good Corona safety measures. Nice spacious rooms, great service and restaurant. Fantastic choice of dishes - for kids and adults alike. Also newly renovated wellness/pool area is nice - only pool water could be warmer... not only for kids, but for me as well. Complimentary ski shuttle, going to Jakobshorn as well as Parsenn, is highly appreciated and used.

Love that place!
Room and reception staff was outstanding. Restaurant staff and food was mediocre. However, and somewhat in their defence, it was the last day of summer saison.

Amazing experience. The historic lounges and dinning areas and hallways remain impressive. The pool has a separate architecture with refreshments and fruits just there and no staff unless u need them. The most impressive thing is staff payed attention to every little detail. They make you feel like a king.

Wonderful, friendly, helpful, kind staff, especially Armin, lead by an amazing manager, Tina Heidi. Nothing was too much for them and the service was excellent! We actually hugged several members of staff goodbye as they had been so good to us. Felt like we were saying goodbye to friends.

The Hotel interior is dated and not up to a 5 star standard. Also it is quite expensive for what you get. However, the staff was super helpful and professional, and they made our stay there enjoyable.

Location was marvelous - close to everything. The rooms were spacious, the breakfast excellent and you could not ask for a more wonderful staff. The hotel shuttle made travel a breeze.

Solid upscale hotel
The hotel is very nice as I would definitely stay there again. The breakfast is wonderful in all respects except the coffee. Coffee was sour and clearly large percolator. The pillows were as expected for European hotel.

For sure the Best in Davos
You feel home the minute you arrive, great front of house service starts with immediate help for luggage and parking, front desk knows all your preferences and concierge never excepts no for an answer. Great first impression just gets topped by spacious and clean. The room service stands out same as the team at the Bar, from passionate ambitious bar keeping and knowing guest specific preferences. Breakfast and all other food offers are excellent. So thanks again for making our suite a true home for last 10 days. We are back for sure... G Buller

We went to Davos to ski and this was the perfect hotel! They had a shuttle to take you to and from the slopes and a warm place to store your skis and boots at night. The hotel was wonderful and the staff were extremely friendly. We also really enjoyed listening to the wonderful piano music at the bar while unwinding from a long day of skiing! I would highly recommend this hotel!

Don't Stay Here If Need Flexible Travel Plans.
I reserved room through Expedia; did not pay in advance. Once there, I needed to change travel plans and depart one day prior than scheduled. Hotel insisted that since I booked through Expedia that they "had to" charge me for the final night even though I was checking out early. Expedia could not or would not help. Forced to pay for extra night when checked out (Nothing in the fine print anywhere). Hotel very stubborn regarding me paying for a night after I checked out. So if you need to have flexible travel plans consider one of the may other fine options. The hotel was probably at one time a truly Grand European Hotel; this is still their corporate vision, but certainly is not part of the corporate culture with the employees. Sort of Disneyesque play acting. Will stay elsewhere next year.

This is unfortunate, but as this is an official review, I am pleased to have the chance, to also officially comment your note. The offer you booked through Expedia was not a non-refundable rate, which you have confirmed one year in advance prior to your arrival. Therefore we held this room for you for at least 12 month. Expedia´s cancellation policies have been agreed on from both sides. Since, you have left two nights before the original check out date, we have acted generously with a compensation of one full rate. Even though this is a 3rd party booking, we have acted as described, although it was neither our responsibility nor duty, to do so. Therefore it saddens me a great deal, that you cannot appreciate our concession. Nevertheless, we hope to have the chance, to convince of our services some time. very friendly and helpful staff, breakfast buffet was great, old style hotel with unhygienic carpet floors, spa section not on 5 star level, kids are allowed in spa section which makes it loud and unpeaceful, if you're looking for quiet, relaxing days this hotel is the wrong choice. The hotel should be modernized.

Excellent hotel and weekend away.
Fantastic hotel to stay at, worth the 5* rating. Added to this the free 'Davos card' which enabled free use of all cable/mountain railways made Davos well worth the visit.
