We’ve stayed here many times. The property is aging and needs a facelift but it’s inexpensive and right next to Stanley Park. The rooms are clean and are actual apartments (the property was an apartment building before Expo ‘86) so they are much larger than a comparable hotel room for the price. The copper leaf doors to every room and the vintage elevator gives the place a ‘50’s vibe. Denman St is steps away with restaurants, coffee shops, and grocery stores. Try Aussie Pies.

This is a prime location, a hidden gem! Safeway and No Frills are within walking distance for your groceries, Lost Lagoon and the seawall are so close to walk to, and the local restaurants are amazing to eat at! Lots of variety! If you’re looking for modern bathrooms and kitchens as your first choice in a suite, this isn’t it. But it is very clean. I didn’t care that the hotel was dated. I had an amazing stay and the staff were very friendly! It truly felt like home away from home!
