Owner clearly is only concerned about collecting money and puts NO effort into making this a nice place to stay. Hard to even mention all the problems with this property. They warn you about the high mineral content of the water- not about the mildew in each of the toilets and dried urine on the toilet seats on arrival. Kitchen is dirty, disorganized, poorly stocked with utensils. The pans provided are Disgusting- should be ashamed to offer those for use. Not a single blanket out for chilly days lounging. Light bulbs out throughout the home. Washer is broken- rinses after the final spin so your clothes are soaking wet. Since it doesn’t work right, we really question whether our sheets were clean on arrival. Filthy bath mats were hung up and folded onto a clean side when we arrived. Manager checked it and said it was fine- not so. Garbage cans outside were overflowing when we arrived. No closet in the master bedroom - had it locked. Breakers, which trip easily, are behind locked doors do you have to wait for manager to come. Charging a cleaning fee for this service is robbery. The only broom in the place was broken with a jagged handle/ noted in prior reviews but never dealt with. Hair clogged sinks were a nice touch. PVRBO does itself a major disservice by allowing properties like this to rent to people offering standards below what most would consider basic health standards. The house is beautiful and the sound of the river is so relaxing. It rained most of our trip so we didn't use the fire pit, but the hot tub was perfect. We would definitely stay here again.Do not ignore the need for 4x4 in the rainy/snowy season. That driveway is CRAZY lol. But the privacy and the view is worth it!The master bedroom could use more storage, but we made do. And the grill was pretty rusty so we didn't use it. The owners have taken great care in providing a wonderful place to share with others. It looks like almost all the previous complaints have been fixed or handled. The driveway was long, but not that steep and without any recent rain we had no issues getting non 4x4 's vehicles down there. My only suggestion would be maybe invest in a water softening system for the whole house.The mineral smell while showering was noticable. House accommodated our family of 5 nicely and everyone had their own bathroom. Kitchen had everything we needed, but it didn’t have a toaster. All the beds were very comfortable. Having the river, really close to the back yard, was a major plus. We utilized the fire pit and hot tub and experienced no problem with these amenities. The washer seems to only stain whites, not colors. We reported the ice maker did not work properly and so we just bought ice instead. We feel the house could benefit from having some rugs in some areas to soften the decor and help with the echo, as you can hear every foot step and every work spoken, during quiet hours. Ear plugs could help, if you’re planning a stay. The area itself was absolutely beautiful and the neighbors we met were friendly and we had some deer visit us in the mornings. The property management responds in a timely manner and addressed all of our concerns prior to arrival. The downstairs master has a unique shower system that should really have instructions. The bottom handle knob controls hot/cold and is the only one to be concerned with to take a simple shower with the shower wand that you can turn towards the wall prior to turning on the water, as it takes a minute to get hot. Other than having more coffee mugs and steak knives, this home was a great vacation spot. When we checked in a little after 4:00 on Monday I noticed the grass had not been mowed but by the time we got back from dinner a few hours later the entire property was perfectly trimmed. I have absolutely no idea how that got accomplished....The master shower on the first floor could use some operating instructions, we got the rain head to work but that was about it. The vanity sink in the master at the window, the pop-up drain does not work and I did not have time to fix it...On the picky side, the kitchen could have used a few knives. We used my Swiss army knife for the basics.Really enjoyed the fire pit with my pyromaniac son! ##### Kevin B. Beautiful property with room for improvement Our family spent a full week at this property and overall had a great experience. The check-in process was smooth, and we appreciated the helpful email beforehand with directions and info about cell coverage. The location is stunning — the yard is well maintained, river access was excellent, and we really enjoyed using the fire pit in the evenings. The beds were very comfortable, and all the linens and furniture were clean and cozy. The steam shower was a luxurious touch once we figured it out — a small instruction card would be a helpful addition.That said, there were some cleanliness and supply issues worth noting. The tile floors and kitchen needed a deeper clean, and the kitchenware — especially pans — was outdated and limited. The sliding glass door was very dirty, likely from dogs, and there were almost no basic cleaning supplies (no vacuum, broken broom, no mop or Swiffer pads), making upkeep tough. Only one trash bag was provided for the entire week.The biggest downside was the hot tub — the water was green and unusable. While the property manager responded quickly to our message, the issue wasn’t resolved during our stay.Despite these concerns, we still had a lovely time. The property has so much potential and, with more attention to cleaning and kitchen updates, it could truly be a five-star rental. Everyone had their own bathroom, which was such a nice feature.The linens and beds were clean and comfortable. There were plenty of towels, pillows, and blankets. The property is beautiful with tons of flowers and the yard is well maintained. We enjoyed the firepit by the river and soaked in the hottub.We needed a propane refill for the grill and they sent someone out quickly. The customer service team was great. All in all it was a very comfortable and enjoyable stay and I would book this house again! ##### Amanda H. The house is beautiful and very comfortable. We were bummed not to be able to use the hot tub. The company was very prompt responding and getting it clean and refilled, however it was not ready for use by the time we left. The hard water was the trickiest part. We were not able to use the washer because the water stained the linens. The water came out yellow. There was a drinking water filter in the kitchen witch was great.We would stay there again. Séjour de 2 nuits en mars 2025 ### 8/10 – Bien #### Manu K. 10 avr. 2025 Points forts : Propreté #### Good Weekend Getaway Overall our stay was good with pros and cons.Pros:-location was a quick easy drive from Seattle to getaway for the weekend-the property is nice and big, with a river running in the backyard which was a quick walk-we liked having access to a grill to bbq-the kids enjoyed being in the hot tub since it was cold outside -the bedrooms each had access to its own bathroom-we liked the open concept and high ceilings Cons:-the hot tub did not appear to have been cleaned prior to our stay-the biggest disappointment was that the kitchen was not well stocked-there was not enough coffee provided and the coffee filters were too small so the coffee ground overflowed into the pot-since we had planned on cooking while we were staying here, we expected there to be some cutting knifes and kitchen towels. There were only 3 steak knives provided and no towels-even though the property says “pet friendly”, it would be nice to know upfront that a fee will be added for any pets.-we had no access to any kind of TV. The only way you can watch anything on TV is if you had a Roku account, including Netflix and Prime. This was not mentioned beforehand. ##### Manu K. We couldn’t use the wash machine which for a family is a bummer. They have a hard water issue so the wash would stain clothes, also when I went to have my boys take a bath the water was yellow. The view from the back yard was very pleasant and the river was very peaceful and a fun adventure for my kids. The Wi-Fi is a bit spotty as it’s definitely out there. The beds were comfortable. The house could use a few more cozy touches but overall a nice place and decent stay. My boys enjoyed the hot tub. ##### Sarah T. The cleaner (one guy) was still there. He said the previous renter had a huge party and left a huge mess. He was definitely struggling to get all of the linens clean and ultimately did not leave until after 7pm. Among the issues remaining after he left were bloodstained sheets on one bed and a filthy hot tub with green "water". Cleaner said that the hot tub and grill were marked "private" so that means he didn't have to clean them...that is not correct. I found out that the hot tub does not get cleaned between renters and, in fact, hadn't had a cleaning for 2 weeks. I don't think this is acceptable at all. I requested a partial refund based on the cleanliness issues as well as a number of other issues. I was told that the partial refund was approved. Now, almost 4 weeks after our stay, I still have not received any refund. The home is potentially beautiful, it just needs to be maintained and properly cleaned. Disappointed that the remedy did not come through either. ##### Jon D. Will definitely Visit again My Son and I came to this cabin for a week and had a blast. The property is large and fun to play around in. The steamer shower is an awesome amenity. The sound of the river is the backdrop always. The house is so quiet/well insulated that you hear nothing unless a window is cracked. Amazing! There are some quirks to the house like the dishwasher that won’t open all the way, and the noisy stairs to the upstairs room, but also an amazing sauna shower in the Primary! This is not a chefs kitchen - missing knobs on the range, cookware that could use upgrading, and only 1 dull knife, but has everything you need to make decent meals. Even has an instant pot and air fryer! We used the grill a lot! There is no cell service at the house, but the WIFI is so powerful and complete you won’t notice! 10 minutes to town for any necessities is nice. ##### Shannon C. After a careful exit off the highway to avoid a pothole we were ecstatic at the secluded location with its riverfront and firering location, yet still close to town for a quick grocery pickup. The property is large despite only having 2 bedrooms. It is not too far from Seattle and has a secluded feeling, which we enjoyed. The hot tub was great. Unfortunately those aspects were the best parts of this rental. Much of the furniture (couches, dining chairs) was broken or felt about to fall apart. Not enough silverware in the kitchen for all 5 of us to use a fork more than once per day, and only 2 dishwasher pods were provided & no dish sponge to wash by hand. Exactly enough towels per person, which was not a great experience since we used the same towel for showering as drying off after the hot tub. The dishwasher could not be opened fully because it was blocked by the fridge. Some of the burner knobs in the kitchen were faulty and we struggled to turn the stove on or off- concerning for a gas range for safety reasons beyond convenience. Our request to arrive before 4 so we could avoid driving in the dark was declined due to company policy as this rental is managed by a 3rd party- much of the experience (furniture falling apart, not enough cutlery) felt like it was overseen remotely by a low budget professional operation and not by an owner who checks the condition of the property in person. There is a steep single lane dirt road to access this and several neighboring homes, which was not reflected in the listing. Would be interested to stay in this area again but likely not at this property. ##### Kelley H.
