A 10 minute walk (or 5 minute bike ride) from the National Park, and a 20 minute drive to the city of Charlottetown - close enough but still far enough away to enjoy the country charm. The cottage has a wonderfully big yard - perfect for campfires. Very handy - 2 minute drive - to a beach which was new to us Dalvay Beach. Our plan was to explore whole island and was able to do this from the house without any overlap. The yard was unfenced but nice and large for our dog. Unfortunately the inside of house could have been cleaner, dirt in the kitchen drawers, and overall needed a good scrub down. Our dog spent the majority of time hiding in the bathroom because of flies in the house. The towels smelt horrible, as if they were just run thru dryer with too many dryer sheets. The three trash toters outside were overflowing and wild animals had pulled items out. We did pull one toter out to street on appropriate day but should not be the renters responsibility.
