Thank you for leaving review, actually this was a super slow weekend, which is why we chose to do the maintenance this weekend. the pool light has been pulled out of the pool from inside the pool, creating an unsafe area for anyone to swim. we apologize for the inconvenience.

Very clean hotel, they really take pride in upkeep and housekeeping. Breakfast was great. My new go to hotel when in Grand Rapids.

Thank you for your review, yes sorry we no longer have microwaves in our rooms, Hyatt Standard. We do fortunately have a few on property to allow guests to use if needed.

Room was definitely above expectations in terms of amenities. The only comment I would have is some rowdy kids but they did quiet down before 10:00 p.m.

We didn’t get complimentary water this time. We stayed there a few weeks back a did. Was also told when I called Saturday morning breakfast started at 630am so I then booked it for Saturday night as we had to be on the road by 7am but apparently on weekends they don’t start until 7am. Not happy about that!!!

I apologize about the miscommunication from the front desk, our breakfast hours are always mon-fri 6:30a-9a and sat & sun 7a-10a Hyatt Standard. We always Place 2 bottles of water in every room and the water at the front counter is for you i apologize if they did not offer. please feel free in the future stays to take your 2 daily waters from the market area. The staff was helpful but we checked in around 11pm, so I asked the front desk person if there were any restaurants nearby he mentioned Denny’s and a Truck Stop. I then inquired if there were any restaurants that delivered he said those two places were the only places that delivered. He neglected to mention that the bar they had was able to provide simple things like sliders and chicken tenders. I discovered this later bc of the sign they had in the room and then I spoke with the front desk in the morning,and they confirmed it. The only 24 hour Walgreens was 13 miles away! We needed to pick up a couple things we forgot at home…we checked in at 11 but were unable to get back to the room until 1:30am bc the Denny’s was busy and had only one server. I realize the whole restaurant situation may seem irrelevant but it impacted us getting a restful nights sleep. Also the room was improperly cleaned there was a gatorade bottle under the sofa bed cushion along with crumbs and candy wrappers it looked as if it hadn’t been properly cleaned in some time. There was no iron in the room, which they were able to provide but it didn’t work well which created chaos in the morning, since we were short on time I didn’t address the iron problem with the staff.I have stayed at Hyatt Place before in different cities and had a wonderful experience I wouldn’t say it’s the hotel per se. However, this location was less than impressive and I won’t stay here again nor would I recommend it.

I had an allergic reaction in the room. When we called the desk to ask if it was a pet free room, they replied that there were no pet free rooms. They said they deep clean after a pet is in there. Does that mean they steam clean the couches, carpet and bed every time? There should be rooms designated as pet free. Also, we were told there was a Starbucks on campus. There was not.

Overall, an excellent choice for lodging. However, breakfast (eggs, Canadian bacon, hash browns) were dry, & flavorless. The fruit yogurts breads were better alternatives. The hot items were just dry & over cooked

It was clean and comfortable. It was a little different that the sink was not in the bathroom, but I liked that better. We could get ready while the other was showering. Out of the congested area, but close to everything.
