Our family was so comfortable here. The yard and firepit is perfect for roasting smores, stargazing, and as my girls say ...chillin out. The bicycles were the biggest hit. We rode to town multiple times. My parents have a bench dedicated to them in the campground. So pleased that we could walk over anytime from the cottage and just sit there and watch Lake Superior. We also appreciated the cleanliness of the cottage, the comfy beds, and the plentiful towels (including beach towels)! The mermaid house is in a great location we where able to walk to just about anywhere. We got to enjoy a couple campfires and had lots of wonderful famiy time. We come to Grand Marais annually to hunt for rocks. We love that the house is within walking distance to all the restaurants in town.
