The Eastside Suite at the Avalong Guesthouse was just right for our 4-night stay. Close walking distance to all the restaurants and shops in town, and an amazing view of Lake Superior from the front windows. I was taking a class at the North House Folk School, which was less than a block away. The property was cozy, exceptionally clean, and beautifully decorated. Even with temps below zero outside, we were warm and happy inside. The property is clean and well maintained, and the communication with the owners was excellent. It is within walking distance of all the downtown action, and a stone throw away from Voyageur brewery. The hammock and fireplace were a plus as well.
