Lake Granby, Arapaho Bay, and Beacon Landing Marina are right down the street. Also close by you'll find the Green Ridge boating site, Pine Beach, the Trail Ridge Marina, Spirit Lake ATV and Snowmobile Rentals, and the Roadhouse Bar and Grill. It is a short drive to the Stillwater Pass and the Idleglen trail heads, Grand Lake, Downtown Grand Lake, and Rocky Mountain National Park! Good quality furniture, a new dining room set, and a nice HDTV combine with the classic wood stove, thick soft carpeting, wagon wheel chandelier, and other little touches to give this space just the right mix of mountain lake house charm and modern comforts.The home has 3 levels, each with a bedroom, and 2 living rooms, making the place ideal for larger groups who want to have a little space to spread out. Summer guests will love the large deck. It wraps from the covered front porch and BBQ area around to the back porch which is also covered. The side deck in between the front and back porches is very large, a space you'll be sure to enjoy, and the entire deck is elevated and gated. The yard is a good size and filled with mature pine and spruce evergreen trees, and the Y shaped driveway allows plenty of space for multiple vehicles and trailers. There is even space under the deck for smaller vehicles or other gear. The house was the perfect little relaxing cabin for that. It was pretty rainy while we were there so we didn't get to use the firepit but the covered porch was perfect to drink coffee and watch the rain come down. We were visited by a mama moose and her baby for a few nights of our stay. The home is clean amd organnied and the owner was available and engaged. Only a few things on the fault the property mgmt team: we had 4 bath towels for 7 people. The home had an 11 am checkout listed in the property but mgmt told us 10 last minute. And the tv in the main floor os virtually inoperable. We couldn't use it. Small things but they were preventable by the arrival inspector . Location was great and we had a wonderful time. But then he springs the idea of spending the some time in the winter in a cabin for Thanksgiving for our first time ever. We were looking for a cozy and quiet yet modern look for our Home away from Home this holiday season. We stumbled across this property after hours of searching. I love to cook so the kitchen sold me. We are only a family of four and we love comfort therefore the bedrooms were a hit. We love room and space and wildlife and quiet time as well. Booked. There was constant communication from the moment we booked. I was nervous at first using Vrbo for the first time. But the management company was very professional and the check in guide was so helpful. The owners were so sweet and Kevin called the day of to make sure we arrived safely and to assure we were ready to go with our stay at their cabin. Where do I begin? It snowed a lot but the driveway was plowed and ready for our arrival. Please make sure you follow their directions when they recommend the perfect car for snow. We settled in comfortably and found our rooms, unpacked and was surprised on the amount of supplies that the cabin was stocked with. Ie. Soap, shampoo, detergent, towels, condiments, spices, cleaning supplies, tea and coffee and all the pots and pans you need Kevin was a text and phone call away and we absolutely enjoued our first Thanksgiving as a family in Colorado.
