We came to Grand Lake to fulfill my father's final wishes. As such an emotional visit, we really appreciated the little things that we didn't have time to worry about and the sweet surprises of nature around us. We even had a surprise Elk visit the lot next to us! And when the hot tub unexpectedly went out, our wonderful host had service tech there and fixed within a two hour window. The house has a great open space for families to spend time together. The hot tub, after a day of hiking, brought a great place to relax. Our family has lived in Grand County combined for over 80 years. We left 4 years ago for Arizona and have come back every year to snowmobile. This is the nicest place and we intend to revisit next year in 2026\. The kitchen has everything we needed. Paper towels, laundry soap, dishwasher soap, shampoo and body wash were all supplied. The bedrooms are huge which worked well for all of us. A nice hot tub to help recover from Steamboat and Winter Park. Grand Lake is a cute down in winter and RMNP is right there for some hiking. I highly recommend this place, and if we stay in the area again with a big group, this is where we'll stay! ##### Stephen M. The house was clean, well-appointed, and perfect for our group (8 adults and one infant). I loved that the rooms were not crammed with furniture and beds to maximize guests. Instead, it felt like a home-away-from-home. We enjoyed the large and open common space and the large deck with beautiful view. It was also a very short drive from RMNP and the downtown area of Grand Lake, which was so convenient. The only slight drawback was how busy the main road is during the day. It is quite loud when sitting outside. Also, we had to refill the gas tank to use the grill. However, despite those very minor drawbacks, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely consider staying again. ##### Stephanie M. The house was very spacious but had great common areas so perfect for everyone to be together but have their own space. The house was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. It was easy to find and a quick drive to downtown (close enough that we actually walked; however, it was about a 1.5-2 mile walk which we enjoyed). Everything was clean and in working order, hot tub included. Very comfortable for six adults, each with their own bedroom.
