A budget motel on the edge of town, near the interstate and other similar establishments and fast food outlets. The room was clean and breakfast was the usual cereal, toast and waffles affair. The motel is a little dated and the soundproofing isn't great. All in all it's decent value - it was about the cheapest place we could find that included breakfast.

Large room with faux wood flooring. Since the room is not fully furnished it feels very large. Cleaning staff does only light wipe down. - Bathtub had a build up of soap scum - Desk had food remnants stuck to the top - Coffee not restocked on second day Traffic noise is noticeable in the room

The hotel is peaceful and that calms my husband and myself down after a long day. The people who work here are awesome and everyone including the front desk people have been incredibly nice, understanding, patient and inviting which is absolutely one of the many great things I like so much about this hotel.

Need a bed for the night? Its OK, wife did not like it so much was clean and old. tv was old and sort of blurry. It was quite. Heater on and off all night.

Bathroom was not clean. Toilet had feces (poop) and urine on it but had a sanitized sign on it. This was a false sign. The shower had mold in it so I didn’t use shower. I could not get a hold of anyone to clean it so I had to clean it myself.

The room furnisher is beautiful antiques - polished. Everything is spotless clean. Surroundings are quiet - but close to everything - - like Denny's across the street. I'll be back.

Let’s just put it this way, I showered with my crocs on, slept on top of the bedcovers with my own blankets and pillow, never took my shoes off unless it was to get into bed; the floors were so disgusting. Sanitized with my own wipes because this room was NOT clean whatsoever. Would not recommend!

Its an old 60's two story motel that needs remodeling but it is very clean in the rooms and the staff is friendly. We were on the back side in a first floor room and I was afraid that it would not be safe but the place was full and things were fine. Quiet in the back off the street.

Expedia shows the property as budget oriented and pet friendly. It was the only room available in our $100 price range Saturday night after a long drive so we booked it online. Not until we arrived were we told there would be a $20 pet fee per pet (we have 2 dogs) per the manager a fee that was clear in the Expedia listing. It wasn’t. Then we were told that there was a $50 refundable room deposit, refundable in a few days if your room was judged as acceptable when you left, clearly written in the listing. It wasn’t. We opted to keep our dogs in the car and go out to give them a 6:30 am walk, and to put up the $50 deposit in cash, meaning housekeeping had to approve our room before we check out and got our $50 cash back. Not the best way to check in while exhausted after a long drive.

1st Interstate is an acceptable place to stay
The 1st Interstate Inn was an acceptable place to stay for one night. It appears to be under renovation so once that is completed, I think it will be in much better shape. The lobby appeared to have been renovated already. The main issue was what I would call "drain flies" in the bathroom sink. Not sure if anything can be done about them, but had to put a wad of toilet paper in the drain to keep them out as much as possible. They seem to appear in the summer for no apparent reason, but if it can be addressed, it would be a good thing to do. Not hazardous, just not desirable.
