We will be calling about your review as we already told Expedia that your reservation was declined due to multiple issues we had when you came to check in. One is that all guests have to have a valid ID and you said you did not have one, then you tried to give us one that has been expired for 8 years and was from Grand Island. We have stated several times and have told our third parties that we, along with all hotels in town, do not rent to Grand Island residents. We have several events in town and sell out along with the whole town and surrounding towns so we do not rent to residents. I assume we tried to help and offer the room with a deposit but it says you also did not have a way to keep a hold until checkout. There was nothing we could do after that, so we will be contacting Expedia to inform them of this.

Our entire facility inside is non-smoking but customers are allowed to smoke outside and customers may smell like smoke as well. If you told the front desk during the night you stayed we would have changed your room if available. Since we did not receive complaints during your stay we did not know there were any issues to resolve. We have had a few guests in there after you and they did not complain about the issues you put here. We did not know about any issues while you stayed or before you stayed. If we did we would have resolved any issues we could have. You have to let us know if there are any issues or if you would like a room change so we can help better your stay with us. Please let us know how we could have made your stay more enjoyable and if you have any problems please contact the front desk so we can resolve any issues during your stay before checkout. Please rest assured that we are taking the appropriate measures to address the problem and prevent any future occurrences. It shows in our system that you never showed up. Unfortunately, Expedia's cancellation policy is 24 hours before check-in time. Since it was a prepaid reservation they are the ones who charged your card, and it is a fully non-cancellable reservation. Please read this when booking and let the hotel know, as we never got a call about why you would not be staying. Thank you.

The property seems out dated. I don't like that the back exit doors open without using a card key. I can also her the trains continual passing. Overall a good room for the price.

The outside doors are unlocked for guests to go in and out easily when needed. We have parking all the way around the building so guests can park around the hotel and still walk in if they haven't checked in yet. We have no problems at this hotel, multiple cameras all around outside and inside the property, and front desk on staff 24/7. Grand Island is a great town and we are near a busy exit so the town stays busy with multiple events and people traveling. The doors are unlocked for convenience and easy accessibility indoors!The trains run through the town now and then but only once during the night. We haven't had any problems with the distance and sound before but we understand your complaint. We are very sorry that you experienced any issues. Thank you for letting us know but please come to the front desk right away before checking out so we can try to resolve any issues that may occur. We hope to see you again in the future!

Comfortable stay
Our stay was Pleasant. The front desk person was helpful. Couple of minor cleaniness issues in the room. But dealt with and taken care of. Beds were comfy and it was QUIET.

During your stay, we did not receive any complaints or we could have addressed all of this. The ADA does not require two-story buildings to have an elevator, but if you cannot use stairs we recommend calling us to try and reserve a ground floor or a handicap room. If this is not available then there are a few hotels in town with elevators!

We keep our breakfast stocked with as much as we can to Wyndham standards and our price range to let guests have a full experience with their stay. Hotels in Grand Island usually have hot waffles, pastries, oatmeal, cereal, juice, coffee, fruit, and yogurt. We have all that as well as biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, and all day hot coffee. The biscuits are available to use how you would like; microwave, toast, add butter, jelly, and even hot gravy! We also put up our bread, biscuits, and muffins in an air tight container to keep them fresh! The scrambled eggs and gravy are kept in a warmer set to a temperature to keep hot and there are signs warning it is hot as well! We appreciate your feedback and will take this into consideration. We have tried to add more and more to the breakfast but keep getting these suggestions. We like to keep the breakfast the same so that every customer has the same great experience and the rates do not change for the breakfast as it is complementary so we keep our breakfast stocked with as much as we can to Wyndham standards and our price range to let guests have a full experience with their stay.

Unfortunately, you arrived very late at night and we only had one room available, so we would not have been able to move you, and all other hotels were sold out in town due to the high demand during the annual State Fair and a famous comedian performing. Hotel is outdated and overall dirty. First room I was assigned had a visually dirty bed and carpet. Second room was right at the top of the stairs so it was extremely noisy. Train nearby blows an extremely loud whistle very late and early. Will not be staying here again.

Very Disappointing
I'm surprised that Wyndham would have their name on this property. It was outdated and dirty, the "breakfast" was very limited, scrambled eggs were lukewarm and tasteless. There was no staff in sight in the morning. on a positive note, the beds were clean and comfortable. But this was definitely not worth the outrageous $166 fee, but we couldn't find accommodations for miles, so this was a last resort and a last resort it is. Days Inn and Wyndham will not likely be options in our future.

We keep our breakfast stocked with as much as we can to Wyndham standards and our price range to let guests have a full experience with their stay. Hotels in Grand Island usually have hot waffles, pastries, oatmeal, cereal, juice coffee, fruit, and yogurt. We have all that as well as biscuits and gravy and all-day hot coffee. The biscuits are available to use how you would like; microwave, toast, add butter, jelly, and even hot gravy! Most hotels in our price range or slightly higher do not provide more than this, if you have any recommendations we are happy to hear this so we can see if it is up to Wyndham standards to add!The front desk staff does the breakfast as well and since we have been sold out for a while now the breakfast is very busy and has to be refilled many times. We have a sign telling all customers to dial 114 on the phone provided at the desk if our front desk is busy or doing other jobs that are needed to be done around the hotel. If you call the number our front desk is there shortly to help with anything that may be needed. Wyndham controls our prices, and we have them base it lower than the hotels in the surrounding area. Here at Days Inn, we continuously strive to meet your needs and expectations.

Clean and basic
Clean hotel, it’s old and in need of updates but for last minute and no frills, it fit the bill. Beds were comfortable and room seemed clean. Wish the price was lower but it is what it is. Walls are thin so if you’re a light sleeper, you may have trouble.

Terrible. Had no reservation at Days Inn minus 10
Did not stay as we had no reservation after 13 hours on road. Was on hold with your customer service from 6:35 p.m. until 8:15 p.m. was told they would charge my card even though we had no control over the hotel was full and no reservation. I will never use Hotel. Com again.

The front desk service was very slow. They were unable to give us extra pillows and towels when we asked for them. The smell in the building was horrible! A yucky blend of smoke, body odor and just stale air. Walls were paper thin. Bathroom less than desirable. We will not stay here again.

Our entire facility inside is non-smoking but customers are allowed to smoke outside and customers may smell like smoke as well. We do keep air conditioners at each end of the halls and fresheners. Please rest assured that we are taking the appropriate measures to address any other problems and prevent any future occurrences. Make sure to a get a room away from the fire door in the hallway. Its banging throughout the night sounded like someone was coming in our room. Since the main reason for staying is to get a good nights rest this was disappointing!! Everything else was very good!!

We understand your concerns with the door as when you told the front desk during check-out. We have never received a complaint about them before as it must have been one customer going in and out. The doors are required by the fire department to be closed and can not be kept open. They do not slam so it may have been a customer that was closing it too hard. Thank you for choosing to stay with us.

One Time - and Done
The gentleman who checked us in was very nice. The room was very bare bones. But the room did have a refrigerator and microwave that worked. Coffee machine did not work. Parts were replaced by front desk but we were given the wrong model parts and did not work. Decided to get coffee at breakfast the next morning . Sadly the coffee the next morning was cold and tasted awful. Told the young lady putting out breakfast but she was too busy to make coffee. As far as the room, the bed was comfortable but the heat fan was so loud the room vibrated, waking us up throughout the night. Bathroom fan was also very loud and turned on with the light- irritating. Cleanliness was average, towels scratchy and mirror in the bathroom was damaged. Truly a no frills hotel room and very disappointing.

Your feedback is very important to us, and I am saddened to hear that you did not enjoy your room. If you told the front desk during the night you stayed we would have changed your room if available. Since we did not receive any complaints during your stay we did not know there were any issues to resolve. We have had a few guests in there after you and they did not complain about the issues you put here. We did not know about any issues while you stayed or before you stayed. If we did we would have resolved any issues we could have. You have to let us know if there are any issues or if you would like a room change so we can help better your stay with us. The coffee at the front is the all-day coffee for arrivals and gets replaced if empty and after breakfast closes. The breakfast opens at 6am for the new coffee, there are many things for the night shift to do and we tell all guests the breakfast times. If you let the front desk know ahead of time we are more than happy to prepare and accomodate any requests we can.

CLEAN!!! Friendly staff and Easy Check in!
The service was friendly, check in and out was very simple and easy and the room was clean and comfortable. I will make this my hotel for every stay I have in Grand Island, Nebraska.
