Cons: The rooms need renovation!
Location: Convenient location.
The hotel needs a remodel! The hallways were not very clean; carpets were dirty and stained!

No smoking room smelled like smoke, carpet was "moist" for some reason. Pool was down for week before, and during, with no explanation. Hallway carpets were dirty and ripped. There was remodeling going on, but I think they should tear it all down and start from scratch.

Not what you're looking for...

Posted 17-Aug-2016
Booking was excellent, front counter reception was great but that's where things end... Water park was closed due to ventilation issues. Parked the car, and opened the door to the hallway and immediately was greeted with a garbage stench of rotting milk and garbage. Walked into the hallway and was greeted with an immediate smell of marijuana (was told this was a non smoking hotel). Opened the door to the room and the AC was broken and it was 80 degrees out. The room is old, musty and there was bugs. Went into the bathroom and the cieling was falling apart, the sink had a spider and its web in it and the bathtub was full of mould and more bugs. I went to the front desk to request another room. She was very friendly and helpful and immediately got us key cards to another room. The room was better somewhat as it smelled of freshly vacuumed carpets with deodorizer in it. The room was cleaner and there didn't appear to be any bugs or smells. The bathroom was better but again the cieling was falling apart. The room was old and antiquated but it did have a new flatscreen tv with a lot to choose from. This was formerly a Howard Johnson and the upper floors were under renovation so hopefully will see some improvement in the future but definitely not recommended under its current condition. I should have taken pictures but didn't.

Cancelled Upon Arrival - Pool Out of Service

Posted 13-Aug-2016
Upon arrival was notified that the pool was being repaired and was provided the option to cancel which we did as we had two young children looking forward to a swim after being in the car for 2 hours.

Old and rundown, but clean

Posted 11-Aug-2016
Old rundown building. Rooms were clean. Pool pit of order. Staff friendly. Too far from any restaurants or stores. Definitely not a 3 star as advertised.

Bad Bad Bad

Posted 14-Jul-2016
Pros: Had the pool to ourselves even tho it was almost like a kiddy pool.
Cons: Everything about this place could be improved.
Location: Location was good, close to main exits in city.
On the website for this place everything looked great, once we got to this hotel found out just the opposite. Staffer who checked us in was very helpful but then found out the restaurant & lounge were closed due to renovations. The hot tub was closed due to ?whatever. I think we were the only people staying there it was so quiet, almost eery. The hallway just stunk, not sure what the smell was. The room was rank, smelled like a dead body had been in there too long. Room door to outside wasn't usable, card scanner was broken - very unsafe for emergency exit. Went down for complimentary breakfast just before 10am & was told by owner we were too late, breakfast was over at 9:30 - REALLY? Went across the street to Ramada to eat, should have stayed there instead.

I should've listened to the warnings!

Pros: The breakfast was decent. Eggs, sausages, even biscuits Lots of seating. friendly staff
Cons: A new building. (I stayed on the first floor next to pool) I don't know how they are even up to code to staying in business .
Location: Its by interstate , mc donalds , ect.
Upon our arrival, the young female clerk was very nice & did her job. Our rooms had mold and stunk so bad I was afraid we were going to be sick!! This is by far the worst hotel i've ever stayed at. They had LOUD tenants in the pool area drinking hard alcohol . the entire place was just filthy. and then you had males in the lobby talking and cussing LOUDLY. I will never stay here again, your better off sleeping in your car. Its safer.

1 NIGHT STAY FOR CONCERT AT "THE RALPH", GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE, RM 208 HAD EXCELLENT A/C, WAS RELATIVELY CLEAN. ROOM KEY DIDN'T WORK .. SEVERAL TRIPS DOWN TO FRONT DESK - THEN FIXED BY MAINTENANCE. FRIENDS ALSO BOOKED, BUT THEIR ROOMS DIDN'T HAVE A/C (THAT WORKED)... SO ROOMS WERE VERY HOT. ATM ON SITE, CLOSE TO "SPEEDWAY"(GOOD FOOD/SERVICE).
