Had a wonderful stay in the cottage of Theresa and Andrew. The cottage had everything I needed, small kitchen where I made my breakfast in the morning and a nice little patio area to sip my morning tea before hitting the beach. The cottage is in easy walking distance to Twin Coves beach, my all around favourite beach, so it was nice to be able to get up in the morning and simply slip on my bathing suit and walk to the beach. The cottage is located just outside of Governor's Harbour, you probably could walk but it would be a bit of a walk in the heat. But Theresa and Andrew have cars available to rent which I'd recommend to go explore the island and all the beautiful beaches you will have to yourself. A visit to Harbour Island is also a nice way to spend a day which is about 40min north by car. The cottage is in a great central location to explore north and south of the island and Theresa and Andrew are the perfect host! And if you're lucky you'll get some of Andrew's yummy soursop fruit mixture. Thanks Theresa and Andrew for being such great hosts. Can't wait to visit again! ##### Maureen T. Theresa, Andrew and entire family are lovely, inclusive, kind and caring. Twin Coves beach is everything, pictures are spot on. The cottage is on their property, as a single woman traveler it was perfect for me. Property is amazing! Coconut, guava, papaya trees, which they gladly share! Let's not forget the yummy cherry tomatoes, thanks Andrew, ate those at the airport! Use their cars! Loved the tiny bug Diahutsu, great mileage and awesome on the challenging roads. You definitely need an all wheel drive. The Burrows' family is everywhere on the island, check out Blue Seahorse for gorgeous jewelry. Thank you family, hope to return at least next year! Take the time to drive to both ends and see everything there is to see in between. Snorkling at twin coves or French leave Beach was great. Be sure to head to Surfers Beach even if your not surfing. We had an amazing time to say the least. 1648 restaurant just south of the cottage was our favorite place to eat. ##### Jeff H. The perfect location to explore the whole island from top to bottom. Theresa an amazing host, prompt to reply and quick to fix any issue went above and beyond . She ensured my stay was comfortable and secure and while aways on hand, remained discrete. Theresa also assisted with the unexpected such as: \* arrange for her daughter Kelly to collect me from Northern Eleuthera when i got off the plane by mistake. \* made calls and ecured flight changes for me \* provided me with a family produced brochure that was an invaluable source of island information, insight and inspiration. If you seek comfort the cottage will not disappoint. Peace and solitude, the twin bays deliver. If its romance or even adventure you are best to base yourself in Governor's Harbour. Rent the car and start your journey to the heart of the Bahamas - its people - stop often and take the time to chat.
