The complex is comprised of two buildings: One contains 2 one bedroom apartments and two standard two bedroom apartments, while the other contains 2 larger, two bedroom apartment suites. All units are built with covered, outside balconies that offer fantastic views of Anchor Bay. This upstairs apartment features a King-size bed in the main bedroom and a Queen in the second bedroom. Both contain en-suite full bathrooms complete with white ceramic sinks, high efficiency toilets and walk-in shower stalls. The apartment is fully fitted with modern touches such as built-in shelving in the living room, stainless steel kitchen appliances inclusive of ductless range hoods, a full-size washer and dryer, and all-new bathroom vanities. There is countertop dining provided in the kitchen area (for 4), and an outdoor dining table and chairs. There is a small rooftop viewing gallery directly above this unit- ideal for taking in beautiful island sunsets, star-gazing in the evenings, or for admiring the waterfront bay view! This apartment comes fully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay: • Washer and dryer • Full kitchen with oven/stovetop, microwave, dishwasher, pots, pans, and coffee maker • SMART TV in living room, as well as high-speed Wi-Fi • Automatic back-up generator for uninterrupted power • Beach gear including chairs, towels, umbrella, and a soft-sided cooler Our apartments are located in the vibrant heart of Governor\`s Harbour, a prime location for exploring Central Eleuthera. We are one block from the historic Haynes Library, and less than a 1/4 mile from Cupid\`s Cay, home of the Eleutheran Adventurers, and the site of the first Bahamian Parliament in 1746. Every Friday evening there\`s great Bahamian nightlife at the Anchor Bay fish fry, a short stroll from the apartments. Here you can sample locally prepared, down-home Bahamian food - including conch salad, deep fried fish, grilled chicken, macaroni and cheese, and peas n\` rice. Mingle with friendly locals, winter residents who visit the island each year for several months at a time, or tourists seeking a fun night out - there is a live DJ, local beers and cocktails, limbo contests and dancing in the streets until late into the night! While Anchor Point Apartments are within walking distance to the local grocery & liquor stores, coffee shops, gift stores and ATM facilities, we do find that most of our guests opt to rent a vehicle during the stay to really explore the island. There are endless secluded beaches the length of the island, waiting to be explored! For a great day out on the ocean exploring or fishing, we would be more than to refer you to some of our preferred boat charters, with your own captain. Paddle boards, kayaks, and jet skis are also available for rent, as well as snorkeling and diving gear. Not intending to review Eleuthera itself, but just to say that this place is in the heart of real Eleuthera, and the neighborhood friendliness and warmth held up it's end! This apartment is absolutely perfect. Fully appointed with everything you would need, from beach chairs to bakeware. The view of the bay never got old. The cemetery is beautiful and unique, and actually this apartment has a clear open view between the two sections of it. The building area is well lit and equipped with security cameras, but we always felt 100% safe walking around the neighborhood and patronizing the local eateries and stores, and the Friday Fish Fry that is just down the street. The home was very comfortable and bright. The kitchen also had everything you could possibly want to cook with (i.e. lemon press, rolling pin, cheese knives). We were able to buy some lobster from local fishermen and cook it on the grill one night. Very tasty! A very short drive to French Leave beach which was both beautiful and very empty! If you're worried about driving on the left side on the island, don't be. It was dead easy. There aren't any complicated traffic patterns on the island and only one main road. Also, the island is much safer than what we experienced in Nassau (both of us had issues with harassment there) and we had no problems with walking around at night. The nature is breathtaking on the whole island and we even saw some dolphins from the house. I'd definitely recommend! ##### Michelle B. Dom & Joy are fantastic hosts and Dom was there to greet us upon our arrival. He spent the time walking us through their area guide book that they’ve thoughtfully put together and answered any questions that we threw at him. Power on the island is quite unstable at times and the times we did lose power during our 7 night stay, the backup genny kicked on in under 30 seconds! As for the space, not only was it clean and comfortable, but also VERY well appointed with everything you could possibly need in a home away from home. My wife and I have traveled the globe and I cannot recall a better outfitted space. We are beach creatures and having chairs, umbrella and a cooler provided for us was an added bonus for sure! We spent most of our time on Receivers Beach (Alabaster bay) and French Leave. Just an overall wonderful experience that we look forward to again!! ##### Matthew V. This is our second year in a row to stay at this property (different apartments) and we love everything about it. We always rent a car, but the apartment is walking distance to everything Governor's Harbor has to offer, which is a huge plus. Joy and Dom are great hosts and property managers and always make us feel welcome! The apartment was spotless when we arrived and it is equipped with everything you could want. Be advised that there are free-roaming chickens and roosters near the property and they do make noise. It did not bother us, but I can imagine it might be a concern for really light sleepers. We acrually found them entertaining to watch and part of the charm of the area. Can't wait to return! ##### Bryan S. First, Joy & Dominic were incredible to work with as we planned our Eleuthera getaway and extremely helpful at all times during our stay. We enjoyed meeting them immensely and cannot say enough great things about them! The apartments themselves are beautifully decorated and maintained. Everything we needed to enjoy the island in a comfortable manner was on site and in terrific condition. From their design to the wonderful kitchen and down to the provided beach chairs it was perfect for us! Their central location in Governor's Harbor proved ideal as my wife and I enjoyed exploring the island each day. We always loved coming home to relax before heading out to dinner - the balconies and the widow's watch above the apartment are a terrific place to enjoy the beauty that surrounds the area. Don't miss the Fish Fry on Friday night - just a short walk from the apartment and a wonderful opportunity to experience a local tradition. We attended church service at St Patrick's just down the street as well and the welcome we received was one that will not be soon forgotten. Eleuthera is a magical place, its people are beyond kind and the apartments are a wonderful place to begin your experience! ##### Clay M.
