"I arrived overnight, which was not a problem at all. Made my reservation with expedia and everything was smooth. Only stayed one night to catch an early flight, great experience, in a quiet and safe neighborhood. Alexander was very helpful and accomodating. I definitely recommend this place."

"Rather spartan but clean. Very difficult to get proper temperature. Room was a bit too warm but became too cold with the air conditioner. A bit of noise from corridor. I was not forewarned that I would need to take a shuttle from Terminal 2 to the hotel and there was no signage. After asking two people in the terminal, I finally learnt where to catch the shuttle. Better information would have been welcome."

"This is just for people who are in transit, first person I asked at the airport could not inform me where it was. I wish the signs would say the name of the hotel since there are two hotels at Galeão (one outside and this one inside). The room is small but cozy, just what I needed for a long layover. They offered 24h reception but when we needed an iron we called several times and went in person and no one was there. It seems they are split between reception of the hotel and prime lounge. "Excellent place to stay in Rio. Super clean, good breakfast, convenient location right in front of the beach, many restaurants in the area. My only complaint is the poor lighting in the room and bathroom, which made it near impossible to apply the little makeup I usually put on. "

"The hotel was nice but the staff wasn’t responsive. The pull out need didn’t have any sheets and there were none to be found in the room. I tried calling housekeeping and front desk several times but nobody answered. Finally I went down and asked in person and the assured me they’d sent someone up. Waited for over 30 minutes and nobody ever showed. Finally we were so tired from our days adventures we just stole a sheet from the other bed."

"We liked the property. It was close to the ocean and hearing the ocean rise and fall was wonderful for sleeping and meditation. I did not like being placed on the 20th floor of the hotel. I'm aversive to heights. The room was fine and we had a partial view of the ocean. But we also had a good view of the favela bored into the mountainside behind the hotel. The favelas are unfortunate living areas of the poor and dispossessed, and this bothered me somewhat. The food was great. The restaurants took care of us nicely and the concierge was wonderful in answering all of our questions. "
