The host always communicated with us. We had an issue with the door key pad and couldn’t use it which was inconvenient and the host never came to look at it even though we asked about it 3 times. The upstairs one room doesn’t have blinds and has a lot of windows so we were woken up at 6:30 every morning. The grill wasn’t cleaned and caught our burgers on fire. There were a bunch of carpenter ants around the home we kept getting rid of. Other than those issues we loved the stay, house was nice, as described, fully stocked with everything needed to cook and clean and do laundry, loved the canoe and kayaks. We aren’t a group of camp-type people, so it was nice to have all the benefits of camping, but with an actual house. We enjoyed the area and loved seeing all the wildlife. The house was clean, had cozy vibes, and was spacious enough for us all to have our own beds and not feel crowded in common areas. It rained off and on our entire weekend, but that didn’t impact our stay at all because the house was so cute and we were happy to stay in. We were able to find plenty of hiking in the area for when it was a little nicer out, and while we didn’t explore the nearby beach lake, it was nice to know it was within a few minutes as an option if we wanted to. ##### Julie L.
