Fantastic staff
Fantastic staff from first contact at reception to the gentleman serving at the bar. The set menu in the evening was fantastic, as was the breakfast buffet. The building is very attractive. Some of the interior would benefit from an update. We will definitely return.

EXCELLENT HOTEL NEAR HARZ MOUNTAINS
Lovely hotel in the Harz Mountains. Located next to a small lake in the centre of the small town with a few restaurants in walking distance. You need a car but very quick to get to all the main sights in the mountains Service very good. rooms lovely only some have lake views. Diiner limited menu and fairly expensive but very good with large portions. Breakfast a really good choice with it topped up throughout service and with eggs cooked to order. Would definately stay here again if in the area

Nice & quiet location. Friendly staff and excellent food, especially the surprise 3 course dinner. The hotel is also dog friendly, and you can bring your dog in the restaurant at dinner time.

Stunning setting in beautiful German village
Everything about staying in this hotel was wonderful. That includes pre - arrival communications. The hotel manager right through to housekeeping were delightful and extremely helpful. I recommend making dinner reservations so you can sit right by the water - it's just delightful. I can also recommend using one of the hotel bikes to explore the area or take a packed lunch pack and go for a hike. The Suites next to the lake are amazing - can highly recommend staying in one of those, enables you to enjoy a meal and glass of wine on your private balcony.

Beautiful hotel in great location
We had a mini break (6 days) in this excellent hotel and really enjoyed our time there. The facilities (pool and three saunas) were great, as was the breakfast buffet. Staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed roaming the village and went on a local forest walk past the Castle and two monasteries. Beautiful views. There are many attractions close to Ilsenburg (within 30 m) which are worth visiting, e.g the UNESCO World Heritage site Quedlinburg with its 2069 medieval houses and churches, and the city of Goslar. Wernigerode is also beautiful, and you can take a small train from there to go to the Brocken, the highest "mountain" (just over 1100 metres) in the area. We did not run out of places we wanted to see. The area is great for hiking and it is possible to rent all sorts of bikes.

A very nice stay
We had two very comfortable nights stay with a four year old. It was family friendly, breakfast was very well catered and the staff were attentive. Views over the lake were good, although our room didn't have the best view. The spa was excellent too.

Quiet and relaxing
Personnel was friendly, the food was great and surrounding area is beautiful. Our only concern was the size of the room and the size of the towels. The latter, however, is a national complaint and not specific to this hotel.

Einzigartiges gab es nicht. Es ist sehr gemütlich im Hotel, gute Atmosphäre. Das Personal super höflich. Essen usw. alles hervorragend. Das Mobiliar ist leider schon in die Jahre gekommen, was nicht zu übersehen ist. Dies hatte ich mir für 4 Sterne- Preis/Leistung etwas anders vorgestellt.

Empfehlenswerte Perle in der Hotellandscahft
Hervorragende Küche, gut sortierte Bar, nettes Spa - aber das eigentliche Highlight ist das Personal! Guten Service erwartet man bei Hotels dieser Kategorie. Hier hatte ich aber den Eindruck, die Mitarbeiter:innen nehmen ihre Aufgabe persönlich und haben echte Freude daran, den Gästen den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu machen. Zuvorkommend, mitdenkend und vom House Keeping bis zum Barchef immer freundlich - nicht aufgesetzt, sondern ehrlich. Man möchte Whisky trinken, weiß aber noch nicht, welchen? Kein Problem, wir probieren uns durch die Sorten. Man möchte eine Zigarre rauchen, aber es gibt keine Smokers Lounge? Kein Problem, wir finden einen gemütlichen, geschützten Platz draussen und bringen Polster und Decke. Es fehlt eine Kleinigkeit? Kein Problem, wird organisiert. Und immer wird der Eindruck vermittelt, es sei eine Freude, einem diesen kleinen Wunsch zu erfüllen. Das war schon etwas Besonderes. Auch gut: die durchmischte Altersstruktur der Gäste, junge Paare, Familien mit Kindern, Senior:innen, sehr heterogen und dadurch angenehm. Und die Gäste trotz der gehobenen Hotelkategorie nicht anstrengend, sondern bodenständig, sodass ich im Smalltalk gerne das eine oder andere zufällige Wort gewechselt habe. Auch die Lage ist sehr gut, von hier erreicht man verschiedene Wanderwege zu Fuß und muss nicht noch mit dem Auto zu irgendeinem Startpunkt fahren. Mein neues Lieblingsziel für kurze Auszeiten aus dem Alltag!

Obwohl ich mit dem Motorrad absichtlich draußen geparkt hatte über die Nacht, sollte ich 10€ Parkgebühren bezahlen. Nach meinen Einwänden, kam die einfache Antwort : Das System gibt das vor. Keine Entschuldigung. Tut mir leid, dieses Vorgehen kann ich für so ein Hotel nicht akzeptieren. Wer bedient das System ?

Dejligt hotel 5 stjernet, dog uden aircondition. Brugte corona våbenet til, at undslå sig bagagehåndtering. De 9 andre hoteller vi havde boet på kunne godt. Dejlig restaurant med lækker mad, ikke mindst morgenbordet

Die Lage in der Region ist einfach super. Das Personal sehr nett und stets bemüht jeden erfüllbaren Wunsch zu realisieren. Das Frühstück ist super und auch jede weitere Mahlzeit ist sehr lecker. In Schwimmbad und Sauna kann man locker die Seele baumeln lassen. Uns hat es rundum echt gefallen. Wir kommen wieder und können es nur weiter empfehlen !!!

Lage top, Wandermöglichkeiten und Ausflugsziele hervorragend. Sehr nettes, freundliches und höchst hilfreiches Personal an der Rezeption. Im Service beim Frühstück und im Restaurant war das Personal noch sehr jung und häufig überfordert. Da wrwartet man vei einwm solch guten Hotel und Sterneküche mehr!!

De spa was top! Meubilair is redelijk gedateerd, ontvangst was zeer vriendelijk en prettig. Goede service en voor onze kleine werd er goed gezorgd.

Das Landhaus zu den rothen Forellen hat uns im Großen und Ganzen gut gefallen, aber ein 5 Sterne Hotel ist es eher nicht. 4 Sterne wären passend. Der Empfang war freundlich, man zeigte uns das Zimmer. Das Zimmer war ok, etwas älter, aber charmant und sauber. Die Dusche war keine Dusche sondern eher nur eine Badewanne. Es gab weder Duschvorhang noch eine Kabine. Man konnte nur im Sitzen duschen. Ein anderes Problem war, dass der Wasserdruck so schwach war, dass man da nicht duschen konnte. Hätten wir dies an der Rezeption gemeldet, hätte man uns bestimmt ein anderes Zimmer gegeben, aber wir hatten keine Lust auf einen Zimmerwechsel und da wir sowieso nur 2 Nächte dort waren, haben wir am zweiten Tag im Spa geduscht. Die Zimmer haben keine Klimaanlage, die Luft in den Zimmern war mies. Überraschenderweise gab es in den Zimmern keine Rauchmelder. Eigentlich Pflicht, dachte ich. Das Spa ist optisch aus den 90er Jahren aber noch gepflegt und die Dame die dort arbeitet ist sehr freundlich gewesen. Das Spa ist auch sauber. Obwohl es kinderfreie Zeiten gibt, werden diese nicht eingehalten, so wurde das Spa auch zu den Badezeiten für Erwachsene, zu einem Spaßbad mit viel Lärm.
