We have supplied two kayaks to further your adventures in Southern Illinois. There are many lakes to explore. The hosts had a nice coffee and tea selection. We were a little disappointed that the patio outside the cabin was so small but there was a nicer large area on the other side of the cabin if you wanted to make a fire. One downside is the cabin is in front of a 3 way intersection and there was a lot of local traffic with very noisy trucks going by. If you wanted the windows open or to be outside the noise definitely took away from the ambiance. We found the cabin conveniently located to the activities we wanted to engage in. Very nicely decorated with everything you can think of to make your stay there relaxing. About an hour away from Garden of the gods and 30 mins from Jackson Falls. The closest food source was in Marion with lots to choose from.
