However the fire pit is in the front yard of the cabin son-it’s not very secluded. Plus none of the walls in the cabin go up to the ceiling so there is a lack of privacy. The hosts had a nice coffee and tea selection. We were a little disappointed that the patio outside the cabin was so small but there was a nicer large area on the other side of the cabin if you wanted to make a fire. One downside is the cabin is in front of a 3 way intersection and there was a lot of local traffic with very noisy trucks going by. If you wanted the windows open or to be outside the noise definitely took away from the ambiance. She is enrolled at SIU, Carbondale. We had a wonderful time visiting the wineries in the area, hiking and biking. The cabin was absolutely perfect and we had everything we needed and more. We found the cabin conveniently located to the activities we wanted to engage in. We ran out of time before trails. Suggest going to closer trails first. The home was clean and had most of what we needed. They were in the middle of getting wifi set up so that was a small bump in the road but we spent most of our time outdoors. Marion nearby had nice restaurants.
