The location is central in the heart of Lancaster County and is within walking distance of the town called Intercourse. ◼Private Backyard ◼Indoor Fireplace (seasonal) ◼Good WiFi ◼ 55" Smart Tv ◼Peaceful Neighborhood ◼Within walking distance to the town of Intercourse ◼High chair, pack N play, noise maker & toys for children We strive to have our home clean and welcoming for each guest - I have no doubt our home will have the perfect touch to make your stay a memorable one. Our front porch area is the perfect place to sit to watch the sunrise while enjoying a hot cup of coffee or in the peaceful cool of the evening as the sun sets. There are retired folks all around us and you will see them walking, biking, and enjoying their daily activities. You will also see Amish riding scooters or walking to and from the grocery store. You will also see horse and buggy's quite frequently. \*\*DISCOUNT for 28+ nights, the longer you stay the higher the discount. We love hosting long term guests, so let us know if there's anything we can do to make that possible for you. IMPORTANT NOTE: The basement and garage is off limits to all guests. This is where the owner keeps his personal items. The owner is a trucker, he lives in the basement, he is usually gone for long periods at a time. However he does return for several days before leaving for his next long delivery. You will have access to the whole property except the garage and basement. (Owners Property) Feel free to use the front porch area, back patio and backyard area. The owner typically doesn't use these areas, so feel free to make yourself at home. The owner does a good job keeping to himself when he is home for a few days. He is a single, Christian man and well respected human being. HOME LAYOUT: There is one step leading to the front door. It was modern, extremely clean and had every amenity we could have asked for. What was shown in the photos was exactly what we found. We thoroughly enjoyed both the front porch where we could sit and watch horses and buggies going by and the beautiful backyard where we could watch bunnies playing in the bushes. The outdoor living spaces are well-done and private. From the front picture window we regularly saw Amish buggies going up and down the street. There was more than I anticipated being able to walk to in town, but driving among the surrounding farms there are plenty of opportunities to stop in for fresh produce or other products. We did have a few issues while there but the property manager was very quick to respond. I feel there are a few fixable things that, if implemented, I’d stay again. Biggest one for us was there are no blinds and only thin white curtains on the windows. The sun rose at 5 and we didn’t want to rise with it while on vacation, but alas we did. I really hope a change will be implemented there. Lovely area to stay. The yard was lush and green. Amish buggies, bikes, roller skaters, walkers, we saw them all every day going past the home. The house was immaculate and well-stocked. The bed in which I slept was very comfortable, as was the living room furniture, especially the recliner! The backyard was huge and had trees surrounding it on two sides. Perfect for kids. There is also a fire pit area off the patio. I enjoyed my stay and highly recommend this house. The only problem I incurred was that I couldn't get the ice maker to work. But, I'm not good with these kind of devices, so it definitely could've been me.
