Swans Shorehouse is perfect for families, fishing trips, and water sports adventures. This cosy three-bedroom retreat is also ideal for dog lovers seeking a relaxed coastal getaway. The Space: Welcome to Swans Shorehouse, an original 1960’s beach shack filled with character and charm. Set right on the riverfront at Goolwa South and positioned between Café Bombora and the family-friendly Adventure Playground, this classic getaway offers the perfect blend of nostalgia and convenience. Inside, you’ll find a simple and comfortable layout designed for families. There are three bedrooms in total: two with queen beds, plus a tri-bunk room with a double below and single above. The home includes two bathrooms, with the second shower and toilet located in the laundry for extra convenience. At the back, relax around the fire pit after a day on the water or enjoy a bevvy or two on the expansive balcony. There’s also plenty of space on the property to park a boat, perfect for fishing, kayaking, or river adventures. Also enough room to park a caravan, roughly up to 24ft. The living area captures the retro shack feel and includes Wi-Fi and reverse cycle heating and cooling to keep everyone comfortable year-round. The kitchen is fitted with the basics (no dishwasher or full oven) and has everything you need for holiday cooking. A BBQ is also provided for outdoor meals. It’s a casual, easy-going home base for families who want a simple, nostalgic shack experience with unbeatable access to Goolwa’s highlights. The Neighborhood: • Prime position on Barrage Road, right on the riverfront • Walk to Café Bombora for coffee, breakfast, or casual meals by the water • Steps from the Adventure Playground, a family favourite with plenty of space for kids to play • Directly in front of the boat ramp for fishing, kayaking, paddleboarding, and easy river access • A short drive to Goolwa Beach for surfing, swimming, and long coastal walks • Explore the historic Goolwa Wharf precinct with weekend markets, SteamRanger heritage train rides, and river cruises • Visit the Goolwa Barrage and Hindmarsh Island for birdwatching and stunning wetland views • Enjoy local dining at Hector’s on the Wharf, the Aquacaf, or discover regional wines and produce nearby Other Things to Note: \*Please note that this is a very strictly non smoking and vaping property both inside and outside. Non compliance with this will result in fines of $250\. No parties, no schoolies. Must be 25 years of age to book. Two well behaved non shedding or outside dog's may be considered. Please request. A $85 pet fee will apply. Our properties are fully self-contained and we supply starter provisions consisting of laundry powder, dish liquid, dishwasher tablets, a dish cloth, bin liners, milk, coffee, tea, sugar, olive oil, salt and pepper, as well as bathroom amenities (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and soap). A spare roll of toilet paper is provided per toilet. Please note that these complimentary provisions are supplied to get you started for your holiday and are not replenished during your stay. We provide bathroom linen for the number of guests included in your booking only. Please bring your own beach towels. Bathroom linen is strictly not to be used for the beach. A 25% deposit is required upon booking confirmation, which includes a non-refundable $30 payment processing fee. The remaining balance is due 7 days before your stay. Additionally, a pre-check-in form must be completed before arrival, which includes submitting a valid ID, a selfie, and agreeing to our terms and conditions. Pricing reflects standard occupancy and associated household use. The park across the road was great for him to run around too. It’s a great view from the balcony and with a cafe across the road we could grab coffees.
