But things calmed down, and we had a wonderful evening out by the fire. The house was historic, and roomy. The kitchen and pantry were wonderful, it had an indoor woodstove (but we didn't need it). We spent the days white water rafting and zip-lining and the evenings sitting on the wonderful porch playing cards, watching wild turkeys and petting Findley (such a sweet doggy) and then falling asleep in very comfortable beds, to the sound of crickets. Wonderful. The host is very nice and accommodating. Everything was ready for us and air conditioning was on when we arrived! We felt very welcome. Curt was also was nice enough to leave the gate open for our late night arrivals. Excellent place to spend a quiet, relaxing few day. Thank you! ##### Tami J.
