Quiet birthday getaway
The checkin process was easy. The villa is very spacious and comfortable. The bed was king size and comfortable, bathroom was clean with basic products included. The spa bath was clean and large enough for 2. Overall could not really fault the villa or our stay. Would recommend staying and would return if in the area.

The Escarpment Mt Tambourine
My Tambourine is a beautiful place . Natural Beauty, a high standard of reasonable restaurants bars etc . Overall very friendly vibe . The escarpment retreat was very nice but did lack a few extra touches that would and could have made it special

Overpriced, deceptive property
Pretty disappointing and overpriced stay. No daily room servicing as they property claim its due to COVID... Except there is no community transmission and its clearly a ploy to pocket more profit while still charging the same nightly rate. Witnessed the cleaner of another room post checkout not wearing any PPE, so obviously not concerned about COVID after the guests check out. Absence of room servicing was only advised after check in. Then there was the charge per night to use the fireplace (yes... You read correctly and again, only advised at check in) except if you're staying between June - August. Clearly the high cost per night is simply too little to cover the use of a fireplace that is plastered throughout their marketing pictures. Conveniently for the establishment, they insist on guests attending the breakfast room strictly between 8.30-9.00 am so you can sit there for 40 minutes while the serve on a first come first serve basis. Despite the in room guest guide stating that each room has WiFi, the don't and mobile reception is non existent. We were with telstra in room 6 and had no service at all. The outlook to the spa in the bathroom would be good if the plants in the outside courtyard weren't dead... But fairly consistent with other poorly maintained aspects of the property... Such as missing lights in the garden bollard lighting where we nearly fell down the stairs due to how poorly lit the area was to get to the car park. Avoid avoid avoid.

Anniversary Getaway
This was a beautiful location for a romantic getaway. The villas are large and well presented. Breakfast was delicious, freshly made to order and the staff were friendly and welcoming.

The property is lovely and the room was fantastic. Very peaceful and loved the fireplace. Breakfast was scrummy and the main room with the fireplace was very elegant. It would have been nice if it stayed open all day, as an afternoon read by the fire would have been a treat. The lookout is a great view and a great place to sit and watch the sun rise. The wood provided was a little damp, so we ended up buying some wood to keep the fire going all night. A great time of year to visit.

Beautiful scenery and interior. The best parts where the champagne on arrival and the spa bath! There is not much reception, which really made it a "retreat". The service was lovely and the breakfasts are unlike others I have experienced, with music playing while the fireplace is lit was beautiful. My only downside is that the robes that are included were not washed or perhaps the cupboard they were in had a stained smell that clung.

Overall we had a really nice, enjoyable, quite time. The customer service was outstanding along with the breakfast they served us in the mornings was defiantly the highlights. I think the property has a lot of potential and would feel more like a retreat if the surrounding properties dump sites weren't so visible. The ambience of the Villa was nice as we walked in although the stale smell internally was over powering which stayed with us during the 3 days, on the plus side the bed was comfy. The AC unit didn't work too well unfortunately, incredibly noisy and struggled to provide much cooling, needs some urgent attention. Overall we enjoyed the stay and would go back but may try another Villa with hope it provides a more comfortable stay.

It was a nice and quiet retreat, it was exactly what we wanted. Great breakfast, room was nice and cozy. Enjoyed the fireplace at night and felt really welcomed when checking in.

It was a great stay nice environment stayed in no.1 but no.2 stayers were noisy late evening for a few hours until 12 midnight so that detracted from the relaxing stay.

The property itself was stunning. Beautiful streams, trees and hideaway cabins made you feel like you were in another world. Loved the views and sounds of the rainforest as we slept. Great food and a nice comfy bed at night. All in all great weekend away. Only disappointing thing was that the fireplace wasn’t operating.

Great facilities for a private getaway. Handy to all the attractions of the mountain but tucked away in a private corner. Breakfast was great, WIFi signal was a bit weak. Overall great.

Great unique grounds & location. Make sure to explore the lawns, gardens & lookouts. Rooms just starting to show their age. In room breakfast would’ve been good but was not an option.

Very comfortable accommodation.
On arrival we were offered champagne and chocolate. We admired the beautiful gardens surrounding our spacious accommodation. The high ceilings, timber floors, wonderful rockwork and the light filtering into our room highlighted the four post king bed with fancy canopy and the spa bath looking out to a private garden. The wood burning fireplace was the main reason we chose this accommodation. The breakfasts were well cooked and very tasty.

Very disappointed, we thought we might have had a view. Retreat needs some maintenance done on it. Watch out if you smoke cos you are sent to a crappy area in the car park. Wouldn’t stay there again

Incredibly beautiful and relaxing
This has to be one of my favourite places I have stayed. It is incredibly beautiful, the grounds are beautifully kept and the gardens are bright green and lush. It is a very relaxing place to stay. Breakfast is delicious, with fresh ingredients. My only criticism is the room we stayed in had no full length mirror and the bathroom mirror is up high. I was attending a wedding and unable to look at my outfit past my chest. I would defiantly recommend this place to friends and family wanting a peaceful break.

Stayed in Villa 4 at The Escarpment
The stay was only meant to be for 2 nights over the weekend but we asked for an extra night stay. Hospitality service was excellent and quality of stay was fantastic. The only thing was that the room was naturally to dark and not enough natural sunlight so needed to use lights to brighten the room most of the time. Other then that our stay was fabulous! I would definitely recommend this retreat to family and friends :D

One of the best places I’ve stayed
Amazing. On arrival the meet and greet was lovely. The owner went through a map with us and explained all the locations for wineries, Resturant and cafes. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The environment surrounding the villas was quiet, peaceful and relaxing. The breakfast, which is included in the accommodation cost, was absolutely delicious - 10/10 and I love breakfast - it’s my favourite meal. Will stay here again for sure! Next time in winter so we can enjoy the fire!

Beautiful resort bad on-call masseuse
The beautiful green scenery and vine walk through to reach our front door was beautifully crafted. As I opened the door there was a beautiful lavender type scent that smelt divine. The room was stunning and very happy to see some yummy chocolates and wine on ice greet us with a cheese platter in the fridge. I am a huge cheese and wine enthusiast and these were delicious. The sounds of the birds, frogs and other creatures of nature were hypnotic and wonderful to listen to at night time. The log fire was wonderful to sit by and warm my feet and the position of the air conditioner was at just the right angle for when it was a little hotter. Our expectations of the actual resort itself exceeded our expectations. I deeply apologise however I needed to knock two whole stars off my stay because the massage I had was terrible. $110 is a lot of money to pay to be beaten and thumped in agony. It was not enjoyable. I told the woman three times during my massage she was hurting me. My poor head copped a beating she was so rough. The next day I was so sore that I couldn't enjoy my stay as I had to lay in bed and recover. I could barely move. I even had bruising on my feet! I was so upset at this experience I cried. She asked me how I enjoyed my massage and admittedly I said "Ok thank you" but it was because she asked me right in front of her next client and I felt obliged in such a position. This experience really upset me. My husband had a different masseuse and loved his massage.

Wonderful retreat
Beautiful location surrounded by trees with great views. Friendly helpful staff, the room has everything you could anticipate you would need. Great local community and shops. Make a reservation at three little pigs for dinner - best dining experience I have ever had. The only downside is the cabins are very close together and the balconys look into each other and into the opposite cabins room so we had to keep the blinds closed. The cabins share a wall and you can here everything, however with respectful neighbours this isn't a huge problem. if the cabins were better separated this would be perfect.
