Decorated with a European sensibility, the home is sunny, comfortable and cheerful, with hardwood floors throughout. A Queen Anne-style house, you can access the second floor via a front staircase that leads from the living room or from the back staircase via the kitchen. The bedrooms upstairs have AC units for comfort and the separated WC and shower areas provide flexibility. A lush and private back yard gives you a feeling of being away from it all. Spend your summer vacation relaxing, discovering local fauna such as hermit crabs, and swimming to your hearts content. A short walk takes you to Hodgkins Cove where you can swim and enjoy the scenery or walk to many fishing spots and quarries for swimming. The picturesque neighborhood beach of Plum Cove is 6/10 of a mile, and a bit farther is the sweet little village of Lanesville. Annisquam and Rockport are a short drive away, making this home a convenient and comfortable Cape Ann getaway. GROUND FLOOR Living Room: A sunny room with a bay window, a stylish modern sectional sofa and a flat-screen TV. Kitchen: The sunny eat-in kitchen has plenty of storage, a gas range, and a full-size front loading washer and dryer. Dining Room: Formal dining room seats up to 8. Bathroom 1: A half-bath off the kitchen. Den: The den (just off the dining and living areas) offers a comfy double futon if extra sleeping space is needed. SECOND FLOOR Bedroom 1: This bedroom has sliders to a deck from which you can glimpse the ocean, as well as a California king bed. Bedroom 2: A sunny room with twin beds. Bedroom 3: A corner room with twin beds and trundles for optional sleeping arrangements. Bathroom 2: The European-styled bathroom has a walk-in shower and double vanity. Windows were a bit of a chore to open, but were functional. We were able to celebrate Christmas and New Years together. The house was perfectly set up with everything we needed. We were able to cook fabulous pasta feast, played board games at the table and everyone had a room to sleep with extra pillows and blankets. The master bedroom balcony was nice even though it was not sumner - you can see the ocean. It’s was so great that wee were able to have the family Dogs (2) with us too. The back yard was great for a quick trip outside(bring your dogs poop bags) and there even is an ideal walk around the cemetery. It’s an older colonial with some recent renovations—the kitchen is dated but well-equipped with a newer gas stove and washer/dryer. The dining room has a large table with seating for six-plus. There was a great little sitting room/office and a comfortable living room with a great sectional/chaise. Very useful that TV was a smart TV. Upstairs, the master bedroom is spacious and comfortable with a fun balcony. Other two bedrooms are bare bones with two somewhat comfortable twin beds each. The bathroom has been updated but quirky; shower and double sink are in one space and a powder room with the toilet and small sink are in a separate room down the hall. Unusual but we made it work. There’s also a great outside shower for warm/hot days. The only downside is the house does not have central AC. There are several window units including one small one for the entire first floor which struggled to pump out enough cold air on the 90 degree days when we were there. ##### Lucy K.
