Unfortunately this hotel failed in its basic function as a place to sleep for a night: there was a DJ night on in the bar downstairs, and the music boomed atrociously loud until 1am. So much for my plan to get up at 6am! The radiator was rattling it was so loud. I went down to complain at 10pm and asked for earplus - they don't have them. At 1230am I called the after-hours phone number: the man told me the party would be over at 1am. Completely unacceptable. This hotel has lovely comfortable beds, nice rooms with a lovely view. Gorgeous room with amazing views. All the staff were really lovely, and friendly. The food was really delicious both the evening meal and the breakfast. Spent the night in the bar after a long day, there was Karaoke on, so joined in, it was great fun. Would definitely recommend and we'll definitely be going back to stay.
