We arrived late at the hotel as we drove from Fairbanks to Valdez. The staff were very courteous and considerate to leave a message & the key so we can able to get into our room as the reception is open only up to 8 pm for check in. Overall, the building is at the old town of Valdez, close to the ferry, price was reasonable, staff were friendly, a good place to crash in for a night after a long drive. The sausage was yummy at breakfast 😊

We had a great experience during our stay at the Hotel Glacier. Maria at the front desk is a star, so helpful, so kind and so efficient….we appreciate all her efforts to make our stay comfortable in what turned out to be opening week for the season. With unseasonably cold weather some things just need workarounds- TV wasn’t working yet, but Wi-Fi was excellent so we could stream shows. Plenty of hot water, fluffy towels and warm bedding to stay cozy. Easy walking to most sights & restaurants. Don’t be fooled by a tired exterior-inside decor is fresh and clean. Good value!
