Meander the grounds. Enjoy swinging on the porch swing while watching the many birds. Build a campfire to relax while taking in the sounds, country air and an amazing sky full of stars. When/if you do decide to step out into the world, you can play, shop, and fish at nearby Mohican State Park. Or checkout Amish Country only minutes away with some of the best shopping, cooking, and Furniture. The space The property borders the Holmes County Rails to Trails. This immaculately kept, paved trail. This trail goes right through scenic Holmes County that accommodates bicyclists, pedestrians, horseback riders, buggies, etc. 15 miles is paved from Fredericksburg to Killbuck with another 7.5 miles paved from Glenmont to Brinkhaven. A seven-mile road route connects to the stretches of the Holmes County Trail. Guest access The entire cabin and 6 acres are yours during your stay. This lovely cabin is a short distance from the Holmes County Trail, that's absolutely beautiful for walking the dogs with the falling autumn leaves. Amazing nature! The trails and fishing pond mentioned in the guest book and all of the reviews are no longer accessible. The property is not marked private. Hot tub water looked to be a bit green. They had a dvd collection, and board games. We stayed at the cabin the entire time we were there. We walked the property and saw a giant crawfish. I would not recommend more than 2\. The beds in the loft were old and run down, we made the decision to sleep on futon that was downstairs. My other issue with the cabin was the water, the hot water did not stay hot. While I took a shower every 20-30 seconds the water temp would get cold. I turned the showers hot water all the way up and it was never hot, warm but not hot. The only other issue I had was the cats. This site doesn’t tell you that there are 2 wild cats that live there. I did and didn’t mind them, but I am allergic to cats. Which made it difficult to enjoy the front porch. The cats also wanted to join in the hot tub as well. Even though I had a few things that were great, overall I loved this cabin. We had a wonderful time watching old movies and playing board games. Loved the fireplace although it stopped working the second night we were there. Although I brought my own shampoo, soap, toothpaste etc they had everything you can possibly need.
