All Reception staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was a basic Continental variety. Cut up fruit was good but takeaway fresh fruit was aged and not inviting.
Parking was available but at a cost of $25 pn which was well worth it being so centrally located a 7 min approx walk to the harbour and Salamanca markets.
The bed in our room was not so comfortable and very squeaky. There was considerable traffic noise from Macquarie St and the air brakes of trucks being heard throughout the night and early mornings. This was from our room that fronted Macquarie St…other rooms may not be as affected as ours was.
Overall The Macquarie Manor was very conveniently situated for our stay in Hobart and once again the 4 or so different staff at Reception whom we met over our 5 night stay were fantastic and did a great job.

We had an incredible stay in the most peaceful and comfortable room (Kelly) with a stunning vista, the staff aren’t on site at all times, and there is a beautiful self-service communal kitchen that is well appointed with some tasty local basics (cakes, jams, toast). I certainly couldn’t have asked for anything more, it’s exactly what we wanted. But don’t expect full service with amenities galore. Thank you for the wonderful stay.

Charming retreat close to everything. We had a great short stay here and would definitely come again. The room was very comfortable (especially the heated tiles in the ensuite) and the whole building itself and the grounds were beautiful. Lovely breakfast including their in-house apricot jam.

"I really loved the laundry mat in the building. After travelling for 12 days before coming to Hobart it was wonderful to be able to do my laundry. The lounge was also nice where you could a drink and snack without going into the restaurant. The only thing I did not like was the street noise on Saturday ..."
