Bring the whole family to this newly constructed home on a beautiful ranch in the hills southwest of Glen Rose, Texas! Within easy driving distance to historic Historic Hico, the Cowboy Capital, Stephenville or Granbury and Lake Granbury, you will have no shortage of places to visit, eat and shop. Enjoy the quiet views from the back porch, cook out on our gas grille and explore the scenic land around you. Or, if you prefer to stay inside and relax you can take advantage of games, shuffleboard and watch a movie in this brand new construction. With amenities such as a gourmet kitchen, ADA bath and bedrooms, a charger for your EV and spectacular views you have it all at the Diamond K Lodge! Guest access We ask that you restrict your hiking to a few hundred feet around the lodge as this is part of a small ranch. Keep in mind you are in the country coexisting with nature. The natural habitat around here is beautiful and serene but is also shared with all kinds of animals including White Tailed Deer, Turkey, Hogs and other cute fuzzy critters. However, some are not so cute or friendly, it is unlikely but you may cross paths with Western Diamondback Rattlesnakes, Copperheads, Bobcats, scorpions and other creatures that may not be so friendly. Just be aware of where you are and where you are walking. We were in town for a funeral and the peacefulness of the porches and wildlife were just what we needed. This home is set up great for couples or families! Beds are comfortable and we loved the recliners while watching movies. We will be back because we love the area so much! The large dining/living area was just right for us to enjoy meals together, our Christmas gift exchange and fun family games. To our surprise, the home was decorated for Christmas - complete with a Christmas tree! The Owners had other special touches which made our stay completely relaxing.
