Stayed for 2 nights while on a family vacation to Washington. Our room was relaxing, quiet, and comfortable. This is an excellent hotel and was a convenient place to stay. We visited Colonial Williamsburg and the Virginia State Capital in downtown Richmond during our stay. Both attractions are highly recommended.
Great over night hotel, however what is the use of a kitchenette when there are no items supplied to be used in the kitchenette. Be useful if the websites and booking companies mentioned this. Otherwise a comfortable and relaxing stay. Would stay again if in the area.

Only issues were original room was not made up and had to change rooms and the key did'nt work. Waterfall shower was awesome, lots of pressure and large bathroom and living area. Solid stay. They served free breakfast but did not eat either of the 2 days. Second time in 3 years staying here and mall nearby and stores, shops etc.

staff was very courteous and helpful, my tv didn't work and they immediately gave me another room, again, the staff was great,, however,, the rooms looked clean but there was a smell that was like a stale odor.
We arrived around 4 p.m. and knew we had to find a place for dinner and what a delight to discover so many restaurants within walking distance. We chose the Bonefish Grill and it was great. We enjoyed walking through the community checking out all the shops. Delightful location and beautiful facilities. Gorgeous entryway with mysteriously flowing water with a waterfall effect. Up the stairs or elevator to appealing lobby which could be enjoyed if you didn't have so many other opportunities for walking and enjoying flowers, benches and shops. The rooms are aesthetically pleasing and totally accommodating. We had a good nights sleep with no noisy interruptions even though the hotel was full of guests. We will now look forward to Aloft first before checking on other hotels.
Glen Allen is a suburb 12 miles northwest of Richmond in the “West End” district, known for its upscale shopping and dining. This small community is home to The Dominion Club, where Virginia’s only PGA Tour event is played, and the prestigious Innsbrook Office Park, the headquarters for corporations like Wachovia, Capital One, and Circuit City.
