Landmarks within short distance by foot include Glasgow University, Kelvingrove Art Galleries and Yorkhill Hospital. The apartment is set within a traditional red sandstone building, synonymous with the area. Located on the preferred first floor, the property has been refurbished to a high contemporary standard whilst maintaining some lovely traditional features. The building stairwell (or "Close" as known in Glaswegian) has traditional tiled walls and wooden bannisters. These type of building have no elevators but the first floor is very reachable and the stairs are shallow. The internal halllway of the apartment captures much of what makes this flats so appealing. A gorgeous front door with stain glass window, and high ceiling with traditional coving (or cornices) which give the property great character. There is one large bedroom, with double bed, newly fitted wardrobes and a chest of drawers; plenty of storage for guests who may be staying for an extended stay of several months. The bathroom is completely new, with a luxurious three pieces suite including bath with shower over. Contemporary tiles give this bathroom a really quality finish. The open plan living and dining area has been restored to a fantastic spec. The kitchen includes all new integrated appliances: fridge and freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, oven and electric hob. The cupboards have been filled with everything that you would need for domestic cooking for two guests. The lounge area includes a dining table with two chairs, and a very comfortable large sofa facing the magnificent fireplace but also the large wall mounted TV. The TV is a smart TV and so you can enjoy your favourite Netflix shows even away from home. Wifi is complimentary throughout. The apartment is heated via Gas Central heating with unlimited hot water supply. The apartment includes other important features such as iron and board, clothes horse, vacuum and basic cleaning materials. We provide fresh white bed linen, change weekly for longer stays, complimentary toiletries and towels. Nairn Street is located in an area of Glasgow known to locals as Yorkhill. It is just a few minutes walk from the Argyle Street strip of Finnieston. This has arguable Glasgow best collection of eateries, coffee houses, traditional pubs and modern bars all in one street. Favourites include The Finnieston, Crabshak and Porter and Rye. The Kelvingrove Art Galleries are no more than 5 minutes walk from the apartment, and Kelvingrove Park is a fantastic facility right on your doorstep. This offers tennis courts, bowling, play areas, music events, and great views. Glasgow University and The Hunterian Musuem are also within 10 minutes walking time of the flat. The area can be reached by Bus from the City Centre of Underground to Kelvinhall.
