"Disappointed there was no full service spa as in the hotels description. This is the reason why we booked this hotel. Hotel staff were nice. Gym was ok although the treadmill base I used had a layer of engrained sticky dust / gunk on it, as well as over the floor corners and window sills. Pool was ok."

"Overall good experience we had a pleasant stay The hotel is conveniently located and the big bonus is the in house basement parking (at an extra cost ) a couple of comments Could not change settings on the Airconditioning ,the water bottles on a two night stay were not replenished same with towels ."

"Really lovely apartment in a very slick building. Lots of great things about the place - the apartment was huge, all brand new appliances, nice balcony and great communal areas e.g. a chill room with lots of board games, table football, shuttle board cinema room etc. I used the gym, which has very good equipment. The estate the building is on has a market square with a big sainsburys, greengrocers, Argos, a few cafes and a couple of nice bars. We enjoyed taking the dog out in the evening for a couple of beers! The only thing stopping this being a 5 star stay was a couple of teething issues with the apartment being so new. When we arrived, none the appliances worked and there was clearly an electrical issue. After a bit of technical support, we managed to find the fuse box which had a couple of switches down. There’s a cracking set of sharp knives in the apartment but no chopping board. The knives were therefore unusable. There’s good tea and coffee facilities, but no coasters. We found we therefore couldn’t put our mugs down on the dining table or coffee tables. Very minor things they can sort for £10! Overall - a great place for a family (including dog) and you’ll be surprised how luxury the facilities are, for the price "

"The hut was immaculate! The cleanest venue I have stayed in. Very comfortable bed & hot shower; fresh coffee & milk is such a welcome addition when you’re only staying for a night or two.We had everything we needed but perhaps for a longer stay a microwave could be helpful; having said that, we had two extremely good meals in the local Indian restaurant, Tawa Lounge & traditional homemade pub food at the Red Lion Hotel, both about 10mins walk & recommended by our host.The hut is in the host’s garden but feels private- however, you’re very close to a road- it didn’t specifically bother us, but it might be a slightly louder experience than expected if you’re imagining an open field & owls! That isn’t a negative, just a note about what type of get away this is- thoughtfully, earplugs were provided if you’re particularly sensitive.We were two pals in need of relaxation & a catch up- it was perfect for us- we had a car & that helped getting into Cambridge centre, although, it looked like there were buses going regularly.Like another visitor, we found that the the entrance/parking wasn’t obvious & not really explained ahead of arrival- however, David was quick to reply to our call & kindly moved his car to allow us to park closer to the hut, however, there was road-side parking in the street opposite.We had a good 2night stay, we caught up in a lovely, cosy, well maintained hut & also enjoyed some early Christmas shopping in Cambridge, which has a perfect mix of shops."
