Purpose of trip was too attend spanish GrandPrix with being located a good hour from the circuit of catalunya staying at the ibis in Girona.Once Arriving all fears of a string of Disasters were laid to rest especially in location and plenty of signs making hotel very easy to find. The staff were excellent in service and very helpful and the room was very clean and tidy with excellent washing facilities. Also not very far from Girona cathedral which is a must see with plenty of shops cafes and Bars nearby.Fantastic time at Grandprix and stay in Girona would absolutely Recommend.
This hotel was easy to find, and a convenient, short drive away from the city of Girona. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The best part was the wonderful breakfast. The bed was fairly comfortable, although the room was a little chilly, and we were told that the heat hadn't been turned on for the season yet. But later we got a call that the heat was working, and the room seemed to warm up somewhat. We didn't try the sauna and pool, so we can't comment on them. The only drawback was the noise--the walls were very thin. Also, our fridge didn't work, and the floor hadn't been mopped in a while. Overall, I would recommend.
Catalonia’s second city after Barcelona, Gerona is the gateway to the Costa Brava although overlooked by most visitors. Its historic centre is compact and atmospheric, with narrow cobbled streets and steep steps. Highlights are the intriguing Jewish Museum, the magnificent cathedral and beautifully preserved Arab baths. Excellent restaurants, bars and shopping complete an enjoyable excursion.
