very convenient for wine tasting
My husband and I have stayed in this suite two years in a row now. Both times we were in Alexander Valley for a dinner in the wine cave at Alexander Valley Vineyards, which is a convenient drive just up the road. The bed is very comfortable and the owners have provided everything you could possibly need or want during your stay. All of the arrangements (reservation, check in, check out, anything you need while you are there) are handled via text message with Larry and he responds almost immediately. We will definitely stay here again for future visits!

10 stars isn’t enough! This was like staying in the most luxurious 5 star hotel. Everything was perfect. We didn’t want to leave! Perfect location for wine tasting and exploring the beautiful area. The room was lovely with wonderful linens and plenty of snacks. The fireplace was cozy and romantic. They even provided maid service every day! There was nothing more we could have asked for. Can’t wait to return!

Lovely Wine Country Stay
My lady and I just completed a 3 night stay to celebrate her birthday weekend and had a wonderful time! The location is nestled in the vineyards in the heart of Alexander Valley and the rental was well appointed, comfortable and as advertised. The owner was responsive when needed and we will definitely come back soon!

This is a truly special property. Beautiful outdoor spaces, very convenient location for enjoying all of Sonoma wine country, extremely well appointed suite. Extremely. Been home for a couple weeks and I'm still thinking about how comfortable and luxurious the bed was, the beautiful bathroom, and the private patio among the vineyard. Everything is upgraded. It is a lower level with a completely private entrance with private parking and the hosts went out of their way to give us privacy - we barely knew they were there. Hosts were accomodating and helpful but left us alone, striking the right balance. This place is a true escape. It was perfect to celebrate our milestone anniversary. I'd give it 10 stars if I could, and hope to stay again!

This is hands down my favorite VRBO ever. I loved the location, the comfortable bed, the decor, the bathroom, and the incredibly thoughtful details (snacks, waters, wine, etc), and the accommodating, helpful hosts. We would be DELIGHTED to stay here again. It is even better than the pics. It is a great value. One thing we will do differently next time is find a driver before we arrive as we had a very hard time getting Ubers to pick up at this location. (Not a deal killer at all - just something to help you plan.).

Sonoma get away
Quiet and quaint area north of Healdsburg in Sonoma valley. The studio is very comfortable and tastefully decorated. Larry and Dee are very thoughtful, supplying breakfast food and snacks. Room was tidied and restocked daily. Stayed a week and enjoyed bike riding, local restaurants and 3 wine tastings at Jordan and Silver Oaks (locally) and Duckhorn in Napa. Great 40th Anniversary getaway!

We loved everything about it!
First of all the description and pics are accurate to a T. We enjoyed the location about 10 mins outside of Healdsburg and Geyserville. There are great wineries around and two you can walk to. The bed is incredibly comfortable and we enjoyed the gas fireplace and sitting outside amongst the 100 year of grape vines. This is the first VRBO that has had daily maid service which was nice to not deal with that each day. We are most definetly going come back for a stay in the near future.

Comfortable and with so many thoughtful touches
We had a truly exceptional stay at this guest suite! The suite was so comfortable and well appointed, and had literally everything we could ask for and more. We were blown away by the many thoughtful amenities— a stocked mini-fridge with complementary food and drinks, coffee bar, full bathroom with beautiful marble shower and a collection of shampoos and other toiletries, the list goes on… It really felt like everything, down to the tiniest details, was designed with the guest in mind. To our pleasant surprise, every day our room was cleaned and reset. There is a beautiful patio area just outside of the French doors of the suite that is surrounded by vineyards, the perfect place for a morning coffee. The location was beautiful, accessible, and close to everything. If we didn’t have a wedding to go to, we probably would have stayed at the suite all day because it was so relaxing. We felt incredibly lucky to stumble across this Vrbo. Thank you for a wonderful experience, and we look forward to returning!

PERFECT!
My 23 yr old daughter and I stayed here for a long week-end. Larry and Dee have truly thought of everything!! Their property is immaculately clean, cozy bed, great air conditioning for hot days, stunning outdoor space for cool evenings, incredible WIFI for the working vacation. You are in the middle of quiet vineyard country with Healdsburg only a couple miles away. Just book it!

The Gem
When you find a gem, you have rave about it. We didn’t expect to literally be staying in a vineyard, to have a patio that at night provided that amazing sky, being greeted by the morning harbingers each day and that delicious afternoon breeze. This gem is located at the junction of California 128 and Alexander Valley Road, so you’re minutes away from some of the area’s most enjoyable wineries, and a short ten minutes away from Healdsburg. If you’re venturing further there is of course CA 128 for a short drive to Calistoga or St. Helena or the 101 nearby. You just can’t do better if this is the area for you. The guest suite: words like immaculate, flawless, and pristine fail to do it justice. The host’s attention to detail and comfort were perfect. The necessities were all there. The bed, bedding, and arrangement off the charts (when your 28-year veteran interior designer wife gets excited, then you know you can endorse). And a bathroom filled with fluffy soft luxurious bathroom linens! The area information provided by the knowledgeable hosts, spot on. Easily the best guest suite we’ve stayed at globally. In the hotel category, a five star.

If I could give it 6 stars I would. The property and room was “top of the line”. It was a nice quiet private location, luxury decor, snacks, and everything you need after a long day on the tasting trail (including spruce up service daily). Larry was such a great host, and the entire rental, check in, stay, and check out process was awesome. Thanks for sharing your property and making our stay perfect.

Little piece of heaven
My husband and I could not have been happier with the beautiful space that the owners have created! Everything was high end and immaculate the space was perfect for what we were looking for our trip. We had privacy, fabulous decor, plenty of space inside and outside, and the setting was beautiful, away but very close to everything we wanted to see. We were in the middle of a vineyard, and could even walk to some beautiful wineries, with walking paths right outside our door. Downtown Healdsburg was just 5 miles away. Larry, had wonderful snacks and beverages already there, and we appreciated the light housekeeping. We look forward to coming back to Sonoma, and we would definitely stay here again! Lovely property 5-10 minutes outside of Healdsburg. Exactly as represented in listing. Lots of space. Incredible bed and linens. Yummy munchies provided. Best shower I’ve been in in years - maybe decades. Loved our time there! Two tiny words of caution. There are people living above the unit so you may hear occasional footsteps. They were minimal and not disruptive for us. The sea grass (?) rug is beautiful but I’m a tenderfoot. I wished I had my slippers with me. My husband had no issue at all so it’s just tender feet like mine. We totally will be back on our next visit!!!

Great place and ideal location!
This property is perfectly located and central to the Sonoma wine regions. We were always a few minutes from any of our destinations. The property was extremely quiet and serene. The bed was so comfortable and the room was equipped with all the necessary amenities including water, milk, coffee, ear plugs, soaps, hairspray, facial wipes and many more. I highly recommend this place for a party of 2.

Ideal peaceful, private wine country getaway
We let out expectations creep up on us with all 5 star reviews of this place, and it was fantastic - the private porch amongst the old wine vines, the cozy fireplace for the cool evenings and mornings, the delicious coffee (and foamer with organic milk in the frig...), the comfortable bed, great smelling candle, ideal location... We are looking for a good excuse to come back soon!

Perfect location for all Sonoma-Napa offer!
From our arrival to leaving this little lodging stay was a gem! Very private and wonderful. We enjoyed every moment in this luxury suite! We were running quite a bit for various fun around the counties and this location served us well as a base camp…albeit with all the high end appointments you could desire! Wow! Wow! Wow! There’s a reason this lovely rental has 100% Five Star reviews! Larry & Dee have ensured every detail of your stay is comfortable and memorable. As others have mentioned, the decor and furniture are beautifully appointed. The bed is unbelievably comfortable with beautiful crisp linens. The bathroom, is equally as lovely with luxurious white fluffy towels. Check in was a breeze and Larry was very responsive to texts. We also appreciated that they arrange for someone to come in daily to tidy up the room; including a mid-week linen change. I could go on and on…….but I will say that they truly offer a 5-star experience that in many ways is far nicer than many of the very high end hotels in both Sonoma and Napa Valley. We will be back!

Can't Get Any Better Than This
This was one of the nicest places I have ever stayed, ever. The room was luxuriously appointed and comfortable, with private entrance and patio area, in a large beautiful house surrounded by vineyards. Equally close to downtown Healdsburg and Geyserville. Larry, our host, was always within minutes of responding to any texts and questions. We would definitely stay here again when we return to the area. Loved it!!

We had a great experience at this property! It was updated, spacious, clean and exactly as advertised. I would compare it to a very nice hotel suite and was perfect for my husband and I being in town for a wedding and not needing a full kitchen or multiple bedrooms. The hosts were communicative about check in and accommodating. The location is a short drive to town and many tasting rooms, and surrounded by beautiful vineyards. Would stay here again!

Run and don’t walk if you’re thinking about booking Larry’s suite. It is the perfect place for a couples getaway to wine country. Within walking distances to amazing wineries. Lovely Sonoma Property
This was our 2nd time staying at this proprietary. Everything was spectacular. This place is clean and well managed with first class amenities. Fully stocked mini frig with yummy snacks including sparkling water, delicious coffee and breakfast treats. The manager Larry is easy and quick to communicate. A jewel in the middle of wine country. We will definitely return when we have the opportunity.

Every part of our stay from booking to departure exceeded expectations. Upon arrival, we were so pleasantly surprised by our room. The room was immaculately clean and fastidiously decorated. Wine Country Vacation
The property was is a perfect location, situated among several Alexander Valley wineries and vineyards. The setting was peaceful and relaxing, yet also close to a few access roads which we used for morning walks to take in the picturesque scenery. Larry and Dee have thought of everything one might need when staying at their retreat. We took full advantage of the patio area (along with cheese/crackers & blankets -- amenities inside the retreat!) to enjoy purchases from the winery experiences earlier in the day. If you're looking for a quiet and relaxing place allowing you close proximity to Alexander Valley you'll definitely want to check out this beautiful spot!

A Gem in the Vines

So much nicer than staying at a hotel and/or renting a big house ~ this guest suite was just right! Great communication by the owner; awesome location (easy drive to Healdsburg, Geyserville and so many wineries!); quiet; luxurious furnishings; fresh tulips, cheese, crackers, wine & other thoughtful amenities awaited us; nice sunny & comfortable outdoor area to relax, sip wine and play cribbage; amazing attention to detail - every need was anticipated by the owners! This was our second stay at the property, and it was just as wonderful as the first. Every detail was immaculately tended to. We could not think of a better place to stay, and we have enjoyed many different hotels and short term home rentals in and around Sonoma County.

Beautiful furnishings, setting
Location is great, in Jimtown, a small settlement about 5 miles from Healdsburg., in the vineyards. It’s in the bottom level of a big house, and exquisitely furnished. It’s relatively small, about 10 x 25 ft, with a closet for food and supplies, and a small fridge, but big enough unless you want to cook. There is also a large tiled bathroom. Supplies include chips, a quart of milk, oatmeal, expresso pods, and even a loaf of banana bread. For meals you have to drive into Healdsburg, which has lots of good restaurants and shops. There is a good winery right across the road, for wine tasting. There’s a private outdoor seating area, for when there’s good weather. The owner, Larry, is very pleasant and responsive. (We got locked out by the maid one evening, and he came down to let us in within 5 minutes.) There is s small private road behind the property which allows for a long hike past Stonestreet winery. The location is in Alexander valley, which is gorgeous and has lots of good wineries. The only negatives we could see was there was a need for an additional wastebasket in the main room or closet, and a small plug-in night light for the bathroom, which is quite dark when the shades are pulled. We loved it and will return.

Gilbert, the main suite room is actually 26 by 16 1/2 feet. If it were smaller it could not accommodate the sofa and table setting, armoire and fireplace and king sized bed which is over 7 feet long. But that’s ok, we appreciate the other comments :-)
