Nice place to stay for affordable price.
Not fancy, but certainly a good place to stay for a Gettysburg visit. It's easy to visit the battlefield, and to visit the downtown area from the hotel.

Entire hotel smelled of smoke
Entire hotel smelled of smoke. Hot, musty, gym locker smell. Room had AC off and was sweltering. Took half the night to cool off. 4 lights in room, 2 broken. Microwave dial missing. Toilet leaked on floor. Complained asked for a new room. Down stairs was cooler. Said no. Asked for refund to go somewhere else. Said no. Hotel is run down.

Hi this is smoke free hotel and we working on front desk no one smoke in lobby we can't under stand what you talking about and if any guest have problem with toilet clog we always go and fix for them please let me know what's room # ,date, and your name so we can find out what's problem was Thank you very much

Breakfast was lacking flavor and nutrition. Bedding was old and worn. Towels were older and even more worn.

Nice stay friendly staff
It was very nice. Had a problem with the tv and the nice lady behind the desk come up and fixed it right away. All the stuff was nice. Everything was clean even parking lot.

Shampoo optional?
Hi. We had 2 rooms. One had no shampoo, the other had shampoo in little ketchup packets. You know, with the perforated edges so you can tear it open and squeeze the ketchup onto your hot dog. At most picnics, my hands are dry but it's still hard to get the ketchup packet open! When it's too hard to tear open, no problem, just use your teeth to tear it open, right? We've all done it. Now substitute a shower for picnic, and hair for hot dog. Add wet hands, and the fact that ketchup and shampoo, although similar in texture, have a very different taste. I mean, really? if you have shampoo at all, it's in ketchup packets you have to tear open with your teeth? Please, either spend the few cents a day to upgrade to something resembling a functional package, or start ordering shampoo that tastes like ketchup. Or mustard. Mustard would be good. Just the yellow stuff, none of that brown Dijon. After all, I'm an American. I prefer French's. OK? PS. when mentioning things like this to the front desk staff in the morning, a response other than a blank stare and a grunt of indifference would be a bonus.

Cheap but decent stay if luxury isn't a priority
Best aspects of this hotel are the price and the close proximity to center of Gettysburg - within walking distance. Room was generally clean, and bed was sufficiently comfortable. Pillows were a bit small and thin though - had to use the extra ones from the other bed. Bathroom was clean, shower was very good. DirecTV worked fine. Didn't try the WiFi, as my phone already has very fast Internet. Refrigerator was very noisy, had to unplug it during the night. Only other thing I wasn't a fan of: the manager burning incense in the lobby. I'm sure it's a cultural thing, but the entire place reeked of it, and it might not please every guest.

I made arrangements on line,simple quick and easy. The room was as described. I think the room was very clean. Every thing was as it should have been. The owners were very nice.The continental breakfast was good.The rate was reasonable,after all I did not want to buy the room,just use it for a night. I would definitely rent it again. TV was direct TV and the channel selection was the same as at home. Nice big screen TV.

Television did not work but contacted front desk and personnel came after several mintes and provided with another remote control. Breakfast items were not inviting so went to local diner.

We stay there a couple times each year. Very nice owners. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Convenient to downtown. Restaurants within walking distance. Convenience store across the street. We enjoy staying there.

The bath tub was nit clean...it had other people's hair in it. Our friend's room was clearly unclean since the beds were a mess and wet towels were on the floor. Also, the person at the front desk took a long time checking us in.

Decent, clean, affordable place! All you need
Bathroom sink and mirror was in the hallway at the entrance and not private; if you care about that sort of thing - but bathroom and shower were separate, and private, and worked great. Pillows a little flat, and sink cold water pressure was a bit messed up. Just a couple very minor things in my opinion and in my room. Overall a very decent, clean, simple, and affordable place to stay. Not even a mile from the city center with sidewalks right outside the hotel to everything. Free wifi- and free continental breakfast as well and small in-ground indoor pool to chill by. I would stay here again definitely! All anyone needs if they're planning on staying busy in and around town.

Check in and out was very smooth. Staff was not always visible. Often not at the desk. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Hotel was quiet which is a bonus to me. Overall we were super happy with this location. Close enough to everything but far enough to not be bothered with tons of traffic and noise.

Property appears to have been remodeled recently - it has nice new carpet throughout. Air conditioner/heater was standard type and worked perfectly. The room was set up in an efficient manner and everything was very neat and clean. It is excellent lodging for business travelers! I will book again.

Okay stay
Good price for an overnight stay. The woman working up front was very pleasant but unfortunately the room wasn't very clean, making it not such a pleasant stay. The house keeping staff let himself in our room, the door was completely shut, an hour before checkout, without knocking, which was very unnerving as to the fact that we were getting ready to leave, i.e. changing. And he did not apologize for barging in without knocking.

We went to the room and found it not very clean, a sad bottle push between the wall and mattress candy wrappers on the floor around the bed and something splashed all over the headboard. I had to clean it up before the wife would go in. The blankets had holes in them, the back safety cover on the hair dryer was broker off I told the girl at te desk but nothing happened.

Don't concern yourself with negative reviews. Everybody has different tastes and standards. Our stay was wonderful! Everything we needed. Clean, comfortable rooms. Free microwave and fridge in room upon request. Free wifi of course. Included breakfast consists of coffee, tea, and orange juice...a variety of basics- toast, waffles, cereal, breakfast burrito, donuts.--until 10 am. Single use coffee maker in the room. Ample parking. No complaints!---would definitely stay again!

Pretty good hotel.

Good and Inexpensive
Good location for visits to the battlefield, shopping and many places to shop. On a busy street and easy to find. Pool was very refreshing after a hot day out on the field. Breakfast slim # of choices but good. Good value.

Place was clean but a little too far for walking distance from main Gettysburg sites. Only stayed one night if staying more than one night would go to a Bed and Breakfast.

My family and I only spent one night. We checked in late after 11, staff was friendly. Room was clean not the best decore but ok, very quiet. We skipped the breakfast, not much selection, so we went to perkins. My son did leave something behind in the room and staff did let us go back in even after we checked out.

For affordability in a hotel you won't be in much this works. Close to everything. Continental breakfast was horrible though and lots of cigarette butts outside entrance. Cheap, clean and quiet.

Ants in the room... I got told off by the manager
All you need to know is that there were ants in my room. I woke up one morning, I was about to leave and noticed a couple of ants on the table. 5 seconds later and there were hundreds. I videoed them to show the manager which I did straight away. As I was going out for the day I left it in their hands to sort out. Admittedly I was moved to a new room. But when I got back to the hotel I was offered $25 (my rate was $246 for 2 nights) and I was told that they were being generous as I should've only been offered $6. I was then told that as I didn't inform the staff as soon as I noticed the first ant that I wasn't actually entitled to a refund at all. I pointed out that I told them within 5 minutes of noticing the first ant. The staff were horrendous, just the very worst people I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. Regardless of anything else, don't stay here as they don't deserve your money. There are better places to stay in Gettysburg.

Hi i am sorry to hear this thing first thing you stay 3 nights and 3rd day show me video with 4 - 5 ants and we check every thing but didn't find any ants from the room rent that room every day but no one see any ants so i am wondering how you find ants and room was second floor. thank you very much staying with us

Poor Management
The rooms were large and clean Housekeeping was very good. The front desk staff were very poor, on check-in the front desk staff double charged me for my room. When I found the error I brought it to the managers attention. He would not even listen to me He denied there was a double charge He would even look at the proof when I brought up my bank app. In my opinion the manager was rude unprofessional and needed a class in customer service. That's my opinion

Thank you very much for your opinion we didn't charge twice but when you use bank card { debit card } your bank hold same amount for incidental use for hotel stay i checked every thing but i didn't find any double charge or any refund so please ask your bank for next time stay any hotel and use bank card and sorry for any in convince and thank for staying with us

After we left hotel we thought we had left an item behind. Called and they went to our room and checked for it while we were on the line. This was greatly appreciated and would stay here again and recommend this hotel to others. Very clean and location was great!
