A fantastic B & B. Steeped in Civil War History and just outside of Gettysburg. The breakfast was all fresh and home made. It was the best breakfast at any B & B we have ever stayed at. This is an amazing property and BnB. Steve and Teresa were absolutely wonderful! The property is gorgeous with plenty of walking areas. Quiet and night, but close to Gettysburg. Our room, as the rest of the house was very clean. Breakfast was delicious. Steve and Teresa are great! Friendly, attentive, informative and a pleasure to spend time with. The first night the room was too hot because we did not not think about turning the heater off. I found the bed to be uncomfortable and had trouble sleeping. The hospitality was wonderful and breakfast was great. We learned a lot of Civil war history. When you check in they go over the history of the lightener farm and the use of the home back during the civil war. Booked the Lincoln room which turned out to be the best room. The room had its own door to enter from the outside with a porch with several rocking chairs that looks over the left side of the property. Breakfast hands down was the best I’ve ever had on all of my stays in Gettysburgs over the past 7 yrs. The room was beyond comfortable and the shower was great with amazing water pressure. Everything about the Lightner B&B was amazing! The owners were delightful and knowledgeable about the battle that took place just a few miles from their historic home. The rooms were decorated perfectly to themes of the civil war, and the setting of the home brought you back in time. The breakfast was delicious, and we didn't want to leave. We stayed in the Lincoln Room, which was amazing!
