Beautiful Muskoka lake front. Close to Mt. St. Louie Moonstone and Honey Harbour

Located in the beautiful Muskoka region of Ontario (PORT SEVERN), on Little Lake on the Trent, Heath Valley Cottage is the perfect place to visit for any reason. The property backs on to an enclosed bay that protects the property from the elements making for beautiful glass like water in almost all weather conditions. The property also has a private boat launch which makes it an ideal place for fishing trips or a relaxing boat ride with the family.

There is a public beach close to the gas stations by the highway exit. There are also several take-out spots near by such as Pizzaville, Hero Burger, Pita Pit and Tim Horton. There are also some restaurants for dining-in and take-out as well such as Exit 156 Restaurant.

The cottage is equipped with general appliances and equipment. There are three TV’s, all with their own Disney Plus, Netflix, Prime and Kemo Sat IPTV. There is a list of available appliances, for more detail please do not hesitate to ask. We provide some essentials such as cleaning supplies, toilet paper, dish soap and laundry detergent. We also allow the use of some thing left here but generally not included such as coffee, filters, paper towel and firewood. We also have some fun additions such as a basketball shootout game, dart board with darts, kids toys in the basement, one canoe, two kayaks and several life vests. There is also a separate garage we affectionately call the part cave. It has a wood burning fireplace, has the basketball and dart boards, and has one of the two hot tubs. The other hot tub is in the deck look out over the lake.

(IMPORTANT NOTE! EXTERIOR HOT TUB IS CLOSED FOR THE WINTER AND WILL REOPEN IN THE SPRING)

The cottage is available year round with plenty to do in the winter. The surrounding area has a ton of snowmobile trails, Mt. St. Louie Moonstone is less than 15 mins away and the property is also a great place to toboggan or to simply enjoy the fresh, crisp air. There are grocery stores, two LCBO's, off the exit a wonderful restaurant call restaurant 156 and at the service stops there is pizza, burgers and pitas. The service station stores are equipped with any item you might need in a pinch as well. There is a pubic park off the exit with a public beach, a handful of restaurants with patios and lovely little Main Street with general stores and coffee shops.

Comfortable spacious cottage!
This is a very comfortable spacious cottage with all the amenities! Our family of 10 ( ranging in age from 2 - 70) thoroughly enjoyed our stay! There is a playroom in the basement which the kids enjoyed and two living areas to spread out. The kitchen is well equipped and there is an additional frig in the party cave for drinks, ice etc. The outside deck is large with a gazebo for shade, a BBQ, and the hot tub is an added bonus. Campfires were enjoyed in the evening in the large lawn overlooking the lake. The only downside was the water in bay. We were there at the end of August, and the water was very weedy so we could not go swimming. However the canoe and kayaks allowed us to enjoy some water activities. There is a great public beach about 5 minutes away with a playground, splash pad, washrooms, picnic tables. There is a charge for parking. The cottage is a wonderful spot for a family gathering and would certainly recommend it! Communication with the host was always prompt.

House was beautiful as well was the location. Only complaint was the patio area wasnt cleaned from prior visitors there were bottle caps on the deck all over and hot dog wieners were still in the bbq cooked. As well toilet seat was broken in the man cave and wiring was disconnected in the steep. I fixed both items for them. Other then that wonderful stay!!!

Great property
We had a great vacation. Kids loved fishing off the dock and playing on the large deck. We loved fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding and playing games in the evening. The property is very comfortable and spacious there was 11 of us and still room for more. Loved it. We will definitely be back.

Family Gathering of 4 Generations!
Our extended family of 11 had a marvellous time together at this property (ages 1 to 91!). Many things about the property were great for the very young and the not so young (level lot, not many stairs and the baby gates and kid’s play room were a bonus). We would liked to have gone swimming but it was too weedy. So the hot tubs were enjoyed even more. Our fisherman of the family caught a lovely 5 pound large mouth bass! We did get out onto the water using the canoe provided but also rented a pontoon boat from Rogue Marine Rentals. We traversed the Big Chute Marine Railway in the pontoon boat and that was a fantastic experience. Even driving to the Big Chute and watching the boats transfer on it is well worth the short drive. A wonderful time had by all.

Excellent vacation days with family
Great vacation time with my family. House is clean and bigger than expected. Everything looked as advertised. Internet speed was slow one day maybe due to weather. Game area and chairs around bonfire requires cleaning improvement. Overall 4.3 over 5 stars

Best Long Weekend Getaway
We had the best time at Chris’ property. The house was tidy, had all the supplies you could need and lots of seating for our group of 8. Chris was quick to respond to any questions and all instructions for the property were clear. The “party cave” was a great place to hang out in at night and the two hot tubs were well maintained and clean. Beautiful view of the water off the back deck. We definitely would recommend this place to anyone and hope to be back.

Winter getaway
We had a fantastic stay. We had 6 kids and 4 adults and there was plenty of space for all of us. Great location to local ski hills and the lake behind was frozen and some neighbours had created an outdoor rink. Chris was a fantastic host and very responsive if we had any questions. Would definitely come back again. It was a wonderful winter getaway and the place looks just as great for the summer!

What a great place for our 3 generation family Thanksgiving Celebration The cottage was super clean and very well equipped to make our Turkey feast and very cozy even though there is tons of space to spread out The party cave was great for the “middle” generation to have beers and play cards while the old and young went to bed early We are already talking about booking for next year Thank you so much Chris

Incredible experience, full equipped kitchen, perfectly clean washrooms and bedrooms, and one the coziest living rooms in the entire Muskoka area. A beautiful view of the frozen lake in winter and a couple of paths to enjoy if you like the snow. Definitely a repeatable experience!

Perfect Christmas getaway
We had an awesome time at Chris’ cottage during Christmas week. It's a perfect place for families with kids, as both the adults and kids have their own private space. We enjoyed the party cave so much for dancing and playing games. Everything was exactly as described. Communication with Chris was very easy and fast throughout our stay. The cottage was perfect for a relaxing winter getaway. Highly recommended!
