Restaurant Fireside service at diner was good/ excellent. Food average. Selected a chef specializes menu item okay. Breakfast same restaurant service slow coffee horrible burnt smell. Ask for a fresh cup waitress informed me they don’t brew there coffee it is dispense. The meal was good salmon to much lemon. The rooms are old need to be updated, but the rooms were clean. No conditioner in the shower but everything else was okay. They charge a room deposit which is ridiculous and stated to allow 7 to 10 days for it to be refunded. Garage area filthy. Broken bottles garbage all over and overflowing garbage containers.

Being a CO native, ive been to blackhawk/central city dozens of times. The Ameristar is a great place to experience high altitude gambling. There were two small things i added as gripes this time that gave it the overall 4 stars. 1. I tried to shower at like 6pm to get ready for my evening and the shower was ice cold. There was not any hot water at all Cant recall a time a hotel has ever ran out of hot water on me. 2. The in-room coffee only has one pre made pack. My wife and I are just supposed to share a cup? I cant see how the extra $0.80 is too much for them to add 2 coffee packs per room. I spend 3x that in a single bet on the machines..

Couldn't check in due to internet not working then missed our dinner reservation due to being 2 minutes past our 15 minute grace period of being late and they wouldn't seat us. Didn't check into the hotel and took my family back home. Horrible

My card was charged 5 times for the hold fee. Was kept waiting in the lobby while the manager went in the back to see what was wrong. . She never came back and the person she sent up front offered no apology for the trouble. The front desk was very rude.

I was stuck during a winter storm and this was the nearest place i could find any rooms available has everything on site from food to fun in the casino floor and a indoor pool whatever you may be into.

We were supposed to get a suite we just got a room with two beds and when pressed about it they were no help at all and wouldn’t give us the room we paid for . The toilet don’t work for the first 36 hrs of our stay . Bathtub had puke and pubic hair that was not cleaned and when asked about that we had no help with that either . We asked to be reimbursed but they said we would have to contact the place we made the reservation from so no help there . I will never stay there again until they make it right for my family and I . A very disappointing stay that we had saved and looked forward to for months . Unsatisfied customers.

I was amazed how cheap the drinks were and the food in the restaurants was great. The pool was a kid fest. So if you dont have kids book a spa treatment so you can enjoy that. But I'd go back with friends again.

My first stay at Ameristar for a wedding weekend and it was awesome. The room was clean and comfortable, and supe convient to walk to all the different casinos to expand the fun past jist whar Ameristar offered. Would reccoment thia hotwl over others in the area. Rooftop hot tub was a dream.

We only got to stay 5 hours room had electric issues of and heater issues REFUSED another room said full offered 17.00 refund on 267.00 room have pictures of this room and issues. Maintenance even told us there’s a HVAC issue that they would get someone to switch us rooms. Hour after hearing nothing tried to call but now the phone and electricity issue have moved further thru the room. Front desk manger said sorry can’t do anything but give you 17.00 since it was booked on epieda. This hotel is a joke

Our bed was not very comfortable like it was last time we stayed. It was very noisy all the the night into the morning with people opening and slamming doors constantly. There was also a ticking sound that wouldn’t stop. There was a nail clipping on the counter from a previous customer. Not too happy with this last stay.

King spa was a great room, large. Huge fireplace, bar and bathroom. Service at the casino was terrible. Thankfully we had drinks in the room. All day no server. Good at fireside was absolutely terrible. No food options after 9Pm. Except vending machine pizza.

The area is nice. The casino was nice. The hotel is what got me. We asked for early check in and they don’t tell you there’s a charge of $60 like damn that’s insane… on top of that we got to the casino and played a bit before checking in thinking we would be ready at 2 to get to our room. Come to find out the system was down. So we had lugged around our luggage to be told our early check in was delayed. Luckily the waived it for the inconvenience. Wish a text would have been sent or something.. when we finally got to our room, there was no cold water, told there are no microwaves for guest use probably because they want you to buy overpriced meals in the lobby. Ice machine was out on the floor we were on so we have to search 3 floors to get ice. Went to swim and use the hot tub but that hot tub was so scorching I looked like a damn lobster when I got out. Overall the setting was nice. But for the inconveniences we had and no compensating for even a portion of it, this stay was extremely overpriced. If you’re going to pay $300 for a hotel for one night, at least ask them to make sure everything is up to par before booking your room. Or go stay at the monarch or Lady Luck. That’s what we should’ve done.
