Hotel Bernina Geneva

10/10 Excellent

"Extremely clean and modern hotel in a fantastic location. We got off a transatlantic flight, took a 5-minute train, and the hotel is literally across the street. Comfortable beds, hot water, good AC, high water pressure, warm/huge bath towels, and great in-room amenities (chocolate, water, beer). We didn’t know about the electronic window shades (makes the room pitch black in the middle of the day) until we were checking out but they would have been amazing with our jetlag. Street noise is fairly minimal, and you’re walking distance to so many great cafes, restaurants, the supermarket, and only a short walk or tram ride to the old town. The staff were very friendly and kind, letting us borrow umbrellas and storing our bags, getting us free transport passes and changing towels on request. We were very pleased and would stay here again if we come back to Geneva!"

"Decent WiFi Quiet very spacious room Excellent breakfast, not crowded Shuttle ran to time (be aware it operates for all three Nash hotels so sometimes crowded) Room had view of aeroplanes All in all very nice stay"

"Hotel Royal staff is fantastic, both helpful and friendly and is frankly the best part of the establishment. There are other good amenities: on-site valet parking, free public transport ticket provided by the front desk staff, ability to wash up after a day in the city if you are returning after your check out. The hotel bar was going through some sort of renovation this august, so that does not help the overall ambiance but is understandable. What I was not thrilled about: tiny rooms cooped up as they face the train lines, not the best part of town, a bit seedy for my taste, the neighborhood has lots of ethnic restaurants and such and as I came to see Geneva, I wanted to see Swiss Geneva. For those that are looking to be near a train station and walking distance to most things even the old town, a quick 10 min tram ride saves you time, and I consider it a convenient option."
