"Aunque cuesta llegar al hotel, se come muy bien y el hotel en sí está bien. La habitación que nos tocó, era amplia y con un baño igual de grande. Tenía bañera de hidromasaje. No tiene aire acondicionado y en noches de mucho calor o si usas el jacuzzi, son MUY necesarias. También exceso el gel de ducha. Había 2 botes y 1 medio vacio. "Amazing place at the top of a very rural and quiet village. Stunning place to experience the 2026 solar eclipse!! We loved our stay and Mari was very hospitable, answering my many questions quickly and thoroughly. The home is comfortable and has good working WiFi and a washing machine. The community is friendly and helpful though not many people were around when we were there.A few things I wish I had known well in advance:1) It’s very important to bring a car that can handle narrow streets and steep inclines. It’s a tough area to drive in and we avoided going up and down as much as possible. 2) There are some very loud and aggressive dogs in the village, so watch after your children if traveling as a family. We only saw 5 other people in the Villa while we were there, you can plan to have a lot of solo time (and if anything were to go wrong you’d be on your own).3) There are no grocery stores nearby so plan ahead and bring food from Oviedo or Leon, or you’ll go hungry!! manolo’s at Paramo at the base of the mountain has an excellent restaurant where you can eat like royalty for 22 euros or less, though!4) Check for road closures…we got stuck in the village for a while because the road north was closed during the day. Plan well in advance!"

"We loved everything about this property. It had a very comforting “feels-like-home” atmosphere, and it was truly beautiful. The room was everything we could ask for— scenic views, a very comfortable bed, spacious closet, and a lovely bathroom with exceptional amenities. This town is iconic and beautiful, and the people really made us feel like we belonged there. The only concern we had with this experience was that the concierge at the front desk was a bit strange upon our arrival. She was elderly, so perhaps I am out of line here, but she did not make eye contact and her eyes appeared a bit glassy and blurred. She had a strange appearance, very pale and though she was elderly, her hair was long and dark and hung in front of her face. Also the girl in the closet was a bit alarming for us. I would Highly recommend staying here for the unique experience. The elevator attendant was similarly strange like the concierge, but was equally helpful and kind. I found it odd, as an American, that they both spoke perfect english and had perfected American dialect. My wife thought this place was haunted, but we decided it was just our imagination."
