This includes, but is not limited to: 1\. Disinfecting all high-touch surfaces to include tables, hard-backed chairs, doorknobs, handrails, light switches, remote controls, keys, key boxes, wardrobe and cabinet handles, desks, toilets, sinks, bedside tables, lamps, kitchen and bathroom surfaces and the exterior of the barbeque. 2\. Carpets and furniture will be vacuumed; floors will be thoroughly mopped and bedding (including comforters and pillow shams) will be washed. 3\. The house will be open to allow it to air out while it is being cleaned. We are doing everything we can to ensure your visit is as safe as possible and we ask that you hold yourself and your guests to this same standard. Prior to your arrival, if you have any question as to the health of someone who will be staying in the house, please contact us immediately so we can reschedule your stay or refund any payment you have made. This high comfort, contemporary house is ready to welcome you and let you relax and enjoy the view. The only thing between you and the Pacific Ocean is an easy less than five minute walk across the low dunes. Located in a quiet, gated community that's five miles from Seaside and 14 miles from both Cannon Beach and Astoria, there is nothing to keep you from maximizing the return on your "down time" - or giving you the quiet you need to write the next great American novel. If you need stores or supplies to replenish what you brought with you, Costco and Fred Meyer are in Warrenton - which is less than ten miles to the north. Astoria, Seaside and Cannon Beach all have a large selection of specialty stores - including bakeries and breweries - if there's something special you need. Inside you'll find a big screen TV with a huge selection of DVD's along with a computer and WI-Fi to keep you connected. Outside, behind the large and spacious deck (which will keep you out of the wind) you'll find the 8th tee of the Highlands Golf Course in the backyard and if you're lucky, you'll see the local herd of elk. The fully equipped kitchen features a gas cook top with a new oven and microwave. A huge island provides plenty of prep space with room for your quality checkers to hang out nearby. The living room has a two story high vaulted ceiling and a gas fireplace makes it easy to relax when it's cool or cloudy outside. The large comfy couches and chairs will make it hard for you to get going once you settle into them. The bedrooms all feature brand new, high end mattresses with "snug-as-a-bug" bedding. The laundry room is equipped with a commercial duty washer and dryer. The two car garage has a pair of bicycles so you can go peddling and it offers full shelter when you are coming and going. This is a true two story house with a half-floor of steps required to get to the living level. In spite of catching cool and rainy late summer days we had a lovely visit. This was our first trip with grandchildren, so for the first time enjoyed having the playroom plus toys on the second level. Huge windows with views from both levels - looking directly through the beachgrass to the ocean. Our family had a great time - cooking together, grilling on the back patio, happy hour on the front deck, and gathering for dinner after long days at the beach & beach towns. Guys golfed, while the girls did yoga & walked the surrounding paths. Nicely maintained accommodations with improvements to the main floor bathroom showers. Very comfortable spaces. Every detail is thoughtfully provided. The views out over the grasslands to the ocean, the Highlands neighborhood, the elk in the evening—all just add up to a wonderful time for our multi-generational family. There is even a complete toy room for our little one! The adults enjoyed a round of golf at the Highlands course and pickleball at the tennis courts. The house is well appointed for cooking and hosting. Spacious living area to relax, play games and all be together. We have two small grandkids that loved the playroom and accompanied toy assortment.
