The cabin is named "Eagle's Perch" for a good reason: It's one of the highest cabins in the resort, and the views are absolutely spectacular! You will love the cathedral ceilings and tall windows in this charming open-plan cabin complete with stone fireplace, hardwood floors, pool table, foosball table, arcade, large screen TVs, hot tub and three decks overlooking the Great Smoky Mountains. Eagle's Perch has four bedrooms and three bathrooms split across three levels. Two of the bedrooms are Kings, one is a Queen and one has bunk beds. The upper bedroom is our favorite, with vaulted ceilings, a private bathroom, and a private deck! It also has a full-size futon for extra accommodation. The main floor bedroom also has a private deck, and there are two more bedrooms on the lower floor that share a bathroom and another deck. The full-size leather sleeper sofa in living room provides additional comfortable sleeping space. All King and Queen bedrooms are equipped with 55’ TV whereas the bunk bedroom has a 40’ TV and all connected with cable and internet with access to Netflix, Hulu and tons of entertainment. Enjoy unlimited lightning-fast internet and WiFi while you stay. Indulge yourself with family and friends in downstairs large game room equipped with standard-sized pool table, foosball table, and 65’ flat TV. Or have a little competition in the hallway on our electronic dart game. You'll find the kitchen well-equipped with the usual appliances, cookware and utensils, plus a coffee machine and a selection of teas. So after a long day at Dollywood, the Great Smoky Mountains, Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg, enjoy relaxing on one of the THREE decks and enjoy the majestic views of the Smoky Mountains with a cold beer, a glass of wine, or a hot cup of coffee or tea. Then head down to the game room for a game of pool or darts, or out to the hot tub to watch the sunset. Later in the evening, enjoy a movie on one of the flat screen TV's. The cabin is privately owned and managed by our family -- no property managers here! The cabin was recently renovated and refurnished. You will enjoy and appreciate a new large natural wood dining table, new leather sleeper sofa, new lazy rocking chairs, new window blinds, new hardwood floor throughout downstairs, new pool table and foosball table, new Galaga arcade machine with 3000 games, new bedding, and much more. Eagle's Perch is one of the highest cabins in the resort, which is why it has AWESOME views. Because of this, the last 200 feet of road is pretty steep. If you're not used to mountain roads, you may find it a bit scary the first time. But rest assured, after a couple of times you'll feel like a pro! Front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive cars perform best in the Smoky Mountains. Two-wheel drive pickup trucks don't do well because all the weight is in the front and so the rear wheels can spin. Low-clearance sporty-type cars may scrape their front spoilers at the base of the drive. If you are renting a car, a full-size front-wheel drive is suggested. Winter bookings: Snow is rare and usually melts quickly. But if you're staying in January or February, 4WD or AWD is highly recommended just in case. Although rare, be aware that if there is snow on the ground when you arrive, you \*WILL\* need a 4WD or AWD to get up the driveway. Trip insurance is recommended, especially in the winter. There are no refunds for weather, although in the unlikely event you cannot make it to the cabin we will allow you to reschedule your stay for another time. There is guaranteed parking for two cars at the cabin. There is overflow parking for a couple more within a few hundred yards at the foot of the hill. We are close to everything! \- 5 miles to Dollywood \- 6 miles to Pigeon Forge \- 9 miles to Gatlinburg \- 13 miles to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park Important Notes: \- Parking: There is guaranteed parking for two cars at the cabin. There is overflow parking for a couple more within a few hundred yards at the foot of the hill. Please see the parking map in the listing photos for more details. \- Security: There is a security camera that automatically records audio and video of the front entrance of the property for safety purposes. The camera does not point toward windows or the hot tub. \- Wheelchairs: This cabin is not suitable for full-time wheelchair-bound guests due to the steep driveway and parking areas. \- Access: The front door has an electronic lock, you will be provided the code the day before check-in. \- BBQ: There is a small BBQ grill mounted in the front yard for your use. Please note that it's outside and it's just not feasible to clean it between every guest, so you may need to clean it before use, depending on how the last guest left it. Charcoal is not provided. Room Layouts: \- The Main Floor has one bedroom with a private deck, and a bathroom across the hall. The kitchen, dining, and living room areas are also on this floor, as is the front door. \- On the Upper Floor, there is one bedroom with a private bathroom and a private deck. \- In the Downstairs, there is Game Room and two bedrooms. This is the level with public access to the deck and hot tub. There is one bathroom at the level shared by all rooms. Well, what are you waiting for? Communication with the property manager was simple and quick. The description is a bit is a bit misleading as it says eagles perch is the highest cabin. That is true, they are the highest in that driveway. But there are numerous cabins higher and in your view from your balcony. That being said the place was absolutely clean and perfect for our week in the area. Communication with the manager was quick and helpful. We would absolutely rent again with the fact that knowing that the pictures make it look like you have this uninterrupted view of no houses or anything else and that simply isn’t true. But again, the cabin and view is still amazing. I just wanted to leave an honest review that gave a little understanding that the pictures don’t necessarily accurately portray the view. ##### Rick W. Perfect set up for 2 families to share together. Plenty of fun activities for the kids to play in the basement. Only downside is trying to get up and park at the very top. Once you figure it out though, you’ll be good to go for the rest of your trip. Just intimidating at first. ##### Patti W. Even with perfect weather (no rain or snow/ice) that incline is too much for most vehicles and parking at the cabin is very limited. However, the cabin was very nice! My family and I enjoyed cooking breakfast in the kitchen, sitting around the fireplace and playing games in the game room. Overall, it was a great stay! ##### Angela D. They were super responsive when we needed anything. Not a bad thing but just a warning (which the Suns give in their property description) the driveway is steep. The house easily fit our party of 11 and we were very pleased with all the amenities. I was especially pleased the towels and linens were included as this is usually not the case. The owner Steve was very easy to contact and responded very quickly. I am very grateful to him for allowing my granddaughter to take the bear that she fell in love with. Go to Eagles Perch you will not be sorry. Plus the views from the top decks are amazing ##### denise c. We had a great time at this cabin. It’s close enough to everything but far enough up to get great views. I was a bit nervous that it wouldn’t feel secluded enough given the proximity to other cabins, but it was never an issue; almost as if we were alone. We had 4 adults and 4 kids (3-10 in age). The house was very well kept and clean. The beds were comfortable and the game room made for a great place to spend some time in the afternoons. our kids loved the arcade machine and enjoyed some throw back golden tee and NBA Jam. We had an issue with the downstairs AC unit. The drain clogged and shut off the machine. We were worried we’d have to sleep in the hot basement overnight, but the property owner quickly responded to us and had a technician onsite within 2 hours. We have rented several places and this was by far the quickest and most responsive a property owner has been. Rest assured, if you have an issue they’ll take care of it. The road leading up to the cabin can be intimidating. Take a breath and be prepared for a pretty steep grade. We had a full-size SUV and didn’t have any problems going up or down, even in heavy rain. I’d highly recommend the cabin for someone that wants to be away from the heavy traffic and craziness of gatlinburg/pigeon forge. We loved our time here and will return. ##### Justin S. We researched accommodations 100 days prior to the trip and found this gem. The location was perfect for where we had planned to visit (Dollywood, The Island, Dixie Stampede, Gatlinburg). Steven provided great directions because GPS might take you to a different driveway if you don't read the cabin # signs. The space was perfect for 3 couples and 3 children. The other cabins were close in distance and we found it difficult to hear each other one night while hanging out on the deck/hot tub due to louder groups nearby, but we still had fun. We had 3 vehicles and managed okay with the driveway and parking area, but we had to communicate with our neighbors whose parking would often block us or make it difficult to arrive/leave. The place is furnished well, especially if you want to cook meals. The view is Amazing for being so close to the strip. The only suggestion my family had was for small tables to be on the decks for drinks and items. ##### Patricia D. Not only is it clean, spacious, well-kept, and comfortable, the hosts are kind, responsive, and attentive, and the view from the balcony is incomparable. The cabin is close to Parkway and all of Pigeon Forge’s main attractions as well as to major hiking trails. The only caveat is the drive up to the cabin - although initially a little intimidating, the drive up is totally doable, even in our old minivan without 4WD. Just don’t forget to go slow and use your parking brake! Overall, Eagle’s Perch is an excellent, if not one of the best, cabins in the Smokies and we 0 be returning here in the future. ##### Chris Z.
