Stay in a Vintage Gatlinburg Motel! Now Pet Friendly!

The Fox Den is a 2 bedroom 2 bath Vintage Motel apartment. It was originally the owners house of the Fox Motel built in 1950s by our Grandparents that we have redone and converted to a nightly rental. An amazing location with less than a 1/4 mile walk to downtown Gatlinburg shops and restaurants with a Trolley stop in front of the building. Watch the Gatlinburg parades for Christmas and July 4th from the patio at the front of our plaza! The building was designed by Hubert Bebb (a student of Frank Lloyd Wright) and is one of the few remaining vintage motels in Gatlinburg. It has been remodeled for your comfort while keeping as much original as possible to give you the experience of 'Olde Gatlinburg Charm'. Decorated with a vintage/boho/eclectic theme, local arts and crafts, and rustic touches make this a unique rental. Fox (of Cherokee origin) was our Grandparent's last name and we've kept their legacy of hospitality intact by continuing to welcome guests to our place of happy memories!

Great location
This property was PERFECT for a weekend on the Arts and Craft loop. It was so easy to go back and forth. Owners were great with info and directions. Master bed was very comfortable and water pressure was very good. The house is a little dark and could use a few more lamps, especially in the bedrooms.

This was a great place to stay, on the strip but quite. Easy walk to downtown.

Lots of space
We loved this property! I have 4 teenagers and they had plenty of space to spread out. The kitchen was well stocked and it was about a 10 minute walk to the strip!

Nice three day get-a-way
This property is nice and quiet. Could use brighter light bulbs and a bigger hot water tank. Other than that is was fine for a short visit.

Close enough to the main strip but without the noise
We stayed for a family vacation over spring break and were looking for a place to spread out with our family while still bringing our dogs and not breaking the bank. This place hit all of the marks. It is on the main strip of downtown Gatlinburg, which is a traffic nightmare, but located just outside of the congestion. We could walk to Anakeesta in about 10 minutes (with young kids) and felt close to everything, but far enough away that we could drive to the store or anywhere while avoiding traffic. It was great to have the option to walk to the busy areas or get up and go in the car for an adventure. We also took the trolley once just for fun and it stopped literally in front of Fox Place in you don’t want to walk the medium sized hill up the road after a busy day. This is a great place for a family with kids to enjoy the experience of Gatlinburg but be able to get away from the crowds at the same time.

Convenient location
Nice to have a house so I could leave the dog during the day. Super convenient to have some grass outside the back door for the dog. House is as described. Easy walk to the strip. Parking right in front of door. You can hear some noise at night from the parkway. Water takes a few minutes to warm up but is good once it does. Water pressure is good. Lighting and bathroom mirror isn’t the greatest for putting on makeup but I made do. Overall a good stay.

Grandparent Weekend
We kept our grandson for the weekend while our children had a wedding event nearby. Cozy vintage lodge with spacious rooms and within a reasonable walk to downtown. Host communicated promptly and everything we needed was available. Had a great time!
