New comfy king bed, low season rates! Wake up to majestic mountain views! This is a beautiful vacation condo we call Baby Bear Tracks. Updated with new recessed lighting and pine tongue and groove walls to make it feel like a cabin! Enjoy granite countertops in a stocked kitchen complete with Keurig coffee maker for meals with your loved ones. Looking for a romantic or simply peaceful relaxing getaway or a flexcation? Our condo is in a highly desirable complex with a resort atmosphere called High Chalet on top of a mountain overlooking Ober Ski Resort and the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. It is so close to all the fun in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge yet in its own world on top of the mountain! This unit is easy to get in and out of with 4 small sidewalk steps at the front of the entrance to the building or just walk over a grassy berm at the left side. A mama bear and her cubs visit regularly. There is an awesome view of the mountains, and the tram going into Ober Ski Resort. There are two bedrooms with queen beds that are quite comfy too. We are doing all we can to make this a special place and many of our guests visit time and time again. Also if you have a larger group and want condos close together, contact me for information on reserving other units in the complex that belong to us or to our neighbors. Sit on your patio first thing in the morning to enjoy a cup of coffee and the sunrise and spectacular views of the mountains. I counted 18 turkeys one morning and have seen several bears at one time in the yard by the patio. Always keep a good distance away from them. Enjoy the pool (Memorial Day until Labor Day) and relax in a nice warm hot tub or sauna in the pool area. There is also a nice game room with TV next to the pool. Nestle into the sofa recliner to read a book or to check your social media. If you need a place to work while on a "flexcation" you have hi speed internet that is designated for this condo. As you unwind from a day of sightseeing or shopping, enjoy your favorite shows on the big screen TV. The instant start electric fireplace will lend a nice atmosphere for your evening! The condo is near The Smoky Mountain National Park and Ober Mountain, and it is just a short drive down the mountain to the national park entrance where you can experience the beauty via an auto tour or by hiking one of the many trails to a waterfall, or to panoramic overlooks. Spend the day in Gatlinburg where you will find boutiques, fudge shops, dining, shows, museums, Anakeesta, the Skybridge and Ripley's Aquarium. Nearby Pigeon Forge hosts Dollywood Theme Park and a splash park, outlet shopping, live shows, museums, helicopter tours and amusement fun for kids of all ages! High Chalet Condos are in the Chalet Village area near the top of Ski Mountain and they offer beautiful mountain views as you walk along the grounds. The condo is only about a mile from Ober Mountain which offers year-round family fun and it is a short 15-minute drive to downtown Gatlinburg. Be aware that bears often cross the road so drive carefully. Even though our road is one of the main roads up the mountain, it is winding and steep at times so be sure to be alert when going up and down. You get used to it I promise. Once in the complex you will find parking near the entrance to the walkway to our unit. There are four short steps down the sidewalk to get to our ground floor level unit, or if you go to the end of the building there are no steps but there is a small grassy berm to walk over. We also have another 2 bedroom nearby, at vrbo 653549 If you check there, you will see that we also have excellent reviews! We aim to keep both our units nice, pretty and clean. Check in is at 4pm and check out is at 10 am. This gives our cleaning crew time to get things fresh and clean between guests. Very clean. We enjoyed our stay. I would recommend like the owner does, getting there in time to make your 1st trip up the mountain in the daylight (thanks Chattanooga). Exactly what you see in the pictures is what you get. The view is beautiful and the condo was very clean and well appointed. Check in was so easy, just a code that Karen will email to you. Karen was quick to respond and was very accomodating. This place is on a very windy road, but arriving during daylight hours was beneficial to get used to the roads. The pool area was great and there are 2 hot tubs near the pool. The views are spectacular and we enjoyed sitting on the patio watching the mountains and enjoying the hummingbirds. Nov 11, 2024 Liked: Check-in, communication, location #### Mountain Vacation The ride up and down the mountain is a bit crazy with the winding road, but you do get used to it if your drive into town daily. We were sitting on the patio drinking coffee and watching a beautiful sunrise and a bear family came out of the woods and crossed the yard a few feet in front of us. ##### Rene F. It was very clean and had everything we need for a long weekend trip. The beds were comfortable and the view was very pretty. The drive up is quite the trek but location wise it was convenient to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Only negative was the people in the condo above were fairly noisy. Not sure if they were permanent residents or just renting as well. Overall we would stay here again. ##### Greg S. This was our second stay at this comfy Cabin. Outside, looks like a small condo complex. Inside, pure Cabin feel! Same feel on the small Deck, incredible view, can't see other units. Very grateful for this as is saved wear and tear on our vehicle. Second, condo was very clean, plenty of extra linens and fully stocked with needed kitchen items for cooking! Finally, the views from the back patio are incredible. We saw bears several times, sunrises and sunsets. The view is indescribable! My daughter loved the pool, hot tub and the little game room they had with a couple of games... its in a great area, about 15 minutes from downtown gatlinburg which was very convenient. We even got to see bears out ok the road twice when we were driving up and down the mountain. I had messaged Karen prior to the trip and she responded quick and answered any questions i had, i will definitely be returning!! 100 percent worth it. ##### Cheyanne R. The directions were very helpful and easy to follow. We came in when it was dark so her directions were much better than the gps directions we followed the next day when it was light. Any questions I had were promptly answered and problems resolved with a simple text. The views were stunning. It was a quiet property with ample room for me and my two teenage boys. ##### LINDSEY F. Our family went for a quick Spring Break stay and the condo was exactly what you see online. Karen sent an email with all the info that was needed for the stay a few days before our trip and everything went smooth. The condo was as far up the mountain as you can get and the views were amazing. The condo was super clean and easy to find and there was plenty of parking that was just outside the front door. I would recommend renting this condo to anyone and we will come back for another visit in the future. ##### Mike D.
