All 5 TV's in this cabin are Smart TV's to connect your streaming Apps. Ride Accessibility: Don’t worry about the headache of looking for parking in Downtown Gatlinburg! At the base of the mountain is a FREE Trolley service that will take you to and from Downtown Gatlinburg. Airport: McGhee Tyson Airport in Knoxville is a 1 hour drive to our cabin and is the recommended airport to fly into if you’re coming to the Smokies. Roads: The road is paved all the way from the main road to the cabin. Although snow here is rare, in the winter, 4WD or AWD may be necessary. Cell service is spotty in the mountains, we highly recommend you download the maps of the area for offline use prior to travel, just in case service is lost. Parking: Park immediately in front of the cabin. Parking is available for 3-4 cars. Age: All guests must be 25+ with the exception of children with their parents. Occupancy: 10 Person Maximum, including children and infants. Security Camera: There are security cameras on the front of the cabin in place for your protection. If you touch or tamper with the camera or disconnect the Wi-Fi, you will be asked to leave the property immediately. This is for your protection. Smoking: This is a NON-SMOKING/VAPING cabin. Weather: No refunds for weather/natural disasters/power outages/other things that are beyond our control. Please purchase travel insurance for coverage. Hot Tub: Our tub will accommodate 5 people. Alcohol and glassware are NOT allowed near the hot tub. You are not allowed to use the hot tub if you have consumed alcohol or if you are pregnant. Do not dive headfirst into the hot tub. You must supervise children under the age of 18 using the hot tub. Our housekeeper drains, cleans and refills the hot tub before your stay; therefore, it may not be warm when you arrive. Trash: Please dump liquids into the sink and not into trash bags. Place all trash into trash bags and secure them in the bearproof trash containers next to the driveway. If you fill the 3 bearproof trash containers during your stay, there is a trash drop-off convenience center at Ski Mountain Road & Heiden Rd. Critters: We subscribe to monthly pest control, however this cabin is in the wilderness, and with that comes bugs and other wild animals, including bears and snakes. Remember to keep your doors locked, throw trash in the bear-proof containers. Don't feed or try to approach a bear, and don't leave any food outdoors, including in your car. Pets: Pets are NOT allowed. We love pets, however some of our family members and guests are very allergic to pet dander. Please be considerate and make alternate vacation arrangements for your furry family members. There are many pet-friendly cabins in the area that would love to host your family. Check In/Out: Check-in at 4:00 PM. Check-out at 10:00 AM. We do not offer early check-in nor late check-out. We do not allow check-ins nor check-outs on holidays. We provide dishwasher tablets, laundry pods, paper towels, toilet paper and trash bags. Complementary coffee, creamer and sugars are also provided however you many chose to bring extras. The finish out and decor was very well thought out and the mountain views from the porches were simply amazing to look at each morning while drinking coffee and sunsets with a glass of wine. Beds very comfy and with the numerous games throughout the home for the kids it was a perfect family set up. And Sonya was very quick to respond to any questions as well as gave many recommendations to help make our stay enjoyable. The cabin was huge inside and had everything you could need. Since we arrived late at night, I wasn’t able to fully appreciate this location until the following morning when I was greeted by a SPECTACULAR view of the mountains. The cabin is at the end of a road so you have amazing unobstructed views for days. I highly recommend this cabin for its views, proximity to both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, amenities, and living spaces. I almost wish there wasn’t so much to do in the area so we could’ve just stayed in the cabin and enjoyed all it has to offer. We have stayed in some very nice places but The Golden Acorn takes the cake. We have never rented somewhere that the owners thought of everything and then some. Everything was exquisite and exceptionally clean. We arrived at night and awoke to an absolutely stunning view of the mountains and Gatlinburg. The decor is outstanding and everything felt cozy. We all had a blast playing games, enjoying the outdoor porches, the fire pit and the hot tub. We hardly wanted to leave the cabin. A heartfelt Thank You to the owners! You went above and beyond! The property was JUST as described in the listing and pictures were spot on, but the view is a must see in person!! The cabin was extremely clean and everything you could possibly need is supplied (they even supply things you may have possibly forgotten) which is very appreciated! The games in the cabin kept my teenagers busy while the trains and smaller toys were perfect for my nephew. The owners are very easy to communicate and check in numerous times to make sure we had everything we needed! We had the opportunity to see a bear and a cub on the drive down the mountain, while even seeing a double rainbow from the balcony during a rainstorm.
