They are designed so that you are all set when you arrive but not to last the entire trip • Our proximity to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park means there is lots of wildlife in our area - black bears, deer, wild turkeys, raccoons, coyotes, foxes, and more! Black bears visit the cabin often in Spring, Summer, and Fall. You may get lucky and catch a glimpse of one of these residents while enjoying the view from the deck. We also contract regular monthly pest services which treat all pests from multiple types of bugs, mice, etc. Despite our regular treatments, given the proximity of the cabin to the park, it is possible these pests can temporarily enter the cabin. The house was beautiful, the amenities were great, the space was perfect and the views were spectacular. The layout worked perfectly for our family and the hosts were super responsive. There was a family of 4 bears that live nearby. They came up to the door at one point. Fun and uneasy all at the same time. Only deterrent was the road and parking. The roads were steep, narrow and no guard rails. We had a Suburban and with the weight in the vehicle and steepness of the roads to get to the house, we were very uneasy about leaving the premises and instacarted several times the first couple of days. Then we sucked it up. All in all...it was a beautiful place, it was as shown in the pics and we had a great time! ##### Barbara W. There were several minor issues that needed to be addressed and they even offered to come correct them during our stay but we didn’t have them do so since it wasn't affecting our trip, more so cosmetic issues. The main thing I would’ve liked to know before booking is that the theatre room and game room are not connected to the cabin you have to go outside on the deck and through another door with a passcode, this was challenging with small children that wanted to spend a lot of time in those rooms and a cabin full of people to host. The other thing is I wish the showers had doors on them, it was freezing the whole time and the water didn’t get very hot. But all of that to say, don’t let that stop you from experiencing this cabin! The views from the second you walk in the door were breathtaking, there was more than enough space for everyone to hangout and sleep comfortably, the kitchen was very fully stocked there wasn’t a single thing that we needed that wasn’t on hand and the modern finishes were unlike anything else we have seen in Gatlinburg. ##### Kelsie Y.
