Bear Bottom cabin is located in charming Cobbly Nob in Gatlinburg, TN, an ideal place for a fun and relaxing family getaway. This private, mountain resort sits on 1,000 acres surrounded by the Great Smoky Mountains National Park! Cobbly Nob amenities include seasonal access to two pools, tennis courts, 24-hr. security, and the Bent Creek golf course which was designed by Masters and British Open winner Gary Player. Cobbly Nob offers easy driving distances to all area attractions and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park but is also very secluded with abundant wildlife.

Sleeps up to 10 people:
- 1 king bed (upper level)
- 1 queen bed in the open loft area (upper level)
- 1 queen bed (main level)
- 1 queen-over-queen bunk bed (lower level)

Main Level - Enter the property on the main level through the covered front porch with multiple seating options to enjoy the mountain views. The main floor includes a living room with vaulted ceiling and huge bay window, stocked kitchen, dining area, bedroom w/queen bed, full bath, and pantry. The spacious covered back & side decks with ample outdoor seating options, including a swinging bench, are accessible from this level.

Upper Level - The upstairs includes a spacious master bedroom with a king-sized bed, vaulted ceilings, a full bath with garden jacuzzi tub, and an open-concept bedroom loft with a queen-sized bed. Step outside to savor your own private, secluded balcony and relax in the hammock swing!

Lower Level - The newly remodeled, LOADED game room was made with FUN in mind! It includes a TV area nook, shuffleboard table, air hockey table, 60-game multi-cade arcade, along with board games and puzzles for your family to enjoy. There is a bedroom with queen bunks and a full bath with laundry area. This is a great space for your whole family to enjoy!

Overall the property was very clean and decorated wellDisappointed that two out of 4 televisions did not work, all TV's are streaming only, so bad weather means no TV, also no DVD players for movies. Hot tub was dirty and smelled awful. Beds are nice but they are extremely firm, Owner does supply a lot of items to get you started. It is not too far from town, just not a lot of space for multiple people to use a small television in the main living area.

Beautiful Cabin!

Our family of four just returned from a five night stay and we absolutely loved this cabin! It was just as pictured, beautiful and very clean with comfortable beds. Fully stocked kitchen was really nice and my kids loved the game room. Sherri was a great host! We had some stormy weather / high winds the first night and she made sure we were informed of the local weather and checked in on us to make sure we were safe. We enjoyed the close proximity to downtown Gatlinburg and the national park. We especially liked relaxing each night in the hot tub with the privacy of the wooded deck. The front porch views went great with my morning coffee! Definitely recommend staying here!

Amazing view, very clean & good location

This property is very cozy, clean and peaceful. The front porch view is just amazing! The drive to downtown Gatlinburg wasn’t bad at all. We traveled with young kids and it was pretty kid-friendly. Pack n play and high chair provided which was awesome! I would note that the bedrooms are VERY bright during the day so if your kids will be napping there I would prepare accordingly. Overall, we had a great stay!

We had a wonderful week. The house was beautiful, safe, and fun. It was located just close enough to downtown Gatlinburg (but far enough to have a mountain experience). The views from the house are breathtaking. The host was very kind and an excellent communicator. I definitely felt like she went out of her way to ensure we had a comfortable stay.

Family Mountain Trip

This property was perfect for our needs. We had two families with a total of four kids, and we were able to handle all bedtimes and playing while still allowing the adults to catch up and enjoy our time together. Family Christmas Getaway

We choose to book this cabin with our children and grandchildren in place of gift exchanges this Christmas and was not disappointed! The cabin was decorated for the holidays which added such a festive touch to our getaway! It had everything we needed to be comfortable and fun. Views are outstanding. We loved everything about our stay. The view from the front porch was amazing! Close enough to drive to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge during the day, far enough away to enjoy peace and quiet in the evening. Heaven on Earth

The Smokey Mountains are my happy place so we have been many times. This was our family’s favorite VRBO we have ever stayed in! Do yourself a favor, grab an adult beverage, go to the top floor, get in the little hammock chair and just take it all in! The beauty is awe inspiring! Space was perfect, had everything we needed! Bears…yeah those are for real a thing! We saw several and on the last day we were loading up the car and a lovely bear friend decided she wanted the cooler full of moonshine jars we had not yet loaded in the car! Quite the adventure and the the memory! Beds were comfortable, game room is great for kids and location met our needs of being close enough for fun family days out but getting to come back to the solitude of the mountains! Can’t recommend this place enough!!

Great cabin and location!

Great stay at this cabin with a great location. The hot tub and lower level games brought everyone together after a long hike or day of adventures. Close to the Smoky Mountain National Park and Gatlinburg. Community pool was clean, easy to get to and had a beautiful setting. Our host, Sherrie was very responsive and gave great suggestions. Check-in/out was super easy. Lot of fun seeing the local bears around roughly 10 am on a couple mornings as well. Cabin was clean with a great floor plan....consistent with the pictures and description. Would definitely stay here again! Thanks Sherrie!

This was a lovely cabin with a lovely view. We had all the amenities needed for our stay. There was no real need to leave the site. The only critique was the cleanliness. Underneath the couches, food was found. I’m sure there’s a hired cleaning service, but with the amount paid for a “cleaning fee,” I would expect it to be cleaner.
