This chalet comes with a spacious open concept floor plan that is perfect for family fun! A visit to Gatlinburg is all about the mountain experience. Unlike other cabins, our view of the mountain range and valley is unobstructed during all seasons. While the view is magnificent during the day, at night it becomes positively magical as cabin and downtown lights twinkle throughout the valley. We've designed our outdoor deck area to provide the amenities that will quickly melt away any stress you've brought with you. Start off the morning enjoying your coffee on the porch marveling at the most stunning sunrise. Our outside dining makes even the basic meal enjoyable as you dine with the mountains as your backdrop. At night slip into the hot tub and star gaze or enjoy the sounds of nature. Ridgewood Retreat consists of 3 spacious suites, full bathrooms in each suite, and another half bath on the upstairs floor. The efficient split floor plan has a large kitchen, living, and dining area on the main (upstairs) floor with one suite and one half bath; and full game room, one king suite and a two queen bunk suite on the lower level. Both floors have covered decks with a different view for everybody's preference! Outdoor seating and relaxing is offered throughout each deck including a hot tub to soak in the most panoramic views of the mountain range, outdoor dining table, and lounge chairs. Parking is available for up to three cars. As you enter the cabin, you'll be struck by the beauty of the main floor entertaining area. Furnishings of the cabin are comfortable and accommodating for a party of eight. Wood floors and ceilings throughout the cabin set the tone for your relaxing retreat. Show off your culinary skills in our gourmet kitchen with new appliances, beautiful countertops, and fully-stocked cupboards. Full laundry can be found in the butlers pantry right off from the kitchen. If you're a grill master we haven't forgotten you. Our charcoal grill is waiting to be fired up to prepare your steaks, burgers, and chicken. Enjoy that meal with a glass of wine outdoors on the spacious and open balcony. Downstairs you'll find an open game room, where the competitive juices start flowing across games of pool, arcade game, and plenty of classic table-top board games. The game room also includes comfortable seating for reading, a flat screen TV, and access to a covered deck and hot tub. Our 2,600 square foot cabin comfortably accommodates groups of 1–8 guests and provides vacation amenities throughout. Each bedroom is beautifully appointed with a flat screen TV, luxury linens, and sufficient pillows important for a good night’s sleep. For our guest who must stay connected we offer wireless internet and cable TV through YouTube TV. Just down the street, our guests have access to all three Chalet Village Clubhouses that feature large swimming pools, tennis courts, a gym, shuffleboard, game rooms, and much more! Pools remain open from Memorial Day through Labor Day each season. We know that you'll enjoy every aspect of Ridgewood Retreat, and we look forward to making you feel like our home is your home. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS: (if your question is not answered here, please feel free to message us) 1\. What Linens are included? – We provide linens for beds, bath towels, and wash cloths. 2\. What household supplies are provided? – We get you started with 1 roll of paper towels, 2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, mini dish detergent, dishwasher pods, laundry detergent packet, kitchen trash bags, and travel/hotel size shampoo. 3\. What does the kitchen include? –The kitchen is stocked with everything you would expect in a normal kitchen plus glassware blender, toaster, various size pots & pans, wine glasses, a Keurig, and a regular coffee pot. 4\. Do you provide any baby items? – Yes! We provide a high chair, pack-and-play, and baby gates where stairs apply. 5\. Do you provide a grill? – Yes! We provide a charcoal grill 6\. Do you provide fire wood? – No need, all of our fireplaces are gas and easy to use. 7\. Do you allow pets? – No. Under no circumstances do we allow pets. Due to severe asthma and severe allergy of the owner who supervises and stays in the house between reservations, no pets, animals, ESA, or SA's of any kind are allowed. 8\. Is the hot tub cleaned after every stay? – Yes! Our hot tub is drained, cleaned, and refilled for every stay. 9\. Is there a community club house and pool area? – Yes, in Chalet Village, we have 3 community pools and clubhouses. The pools are open from Memorial Day Weekend in May through Labor Day Weekend in September. 10\. Is the price flexible? - We do NOT offer discounts, nor do we eliminate or reduce any of the fees. 11\. When is the second payment due? – 30 Days prior to your stay. 12\. When will I get the address and cabin access info? - Address, personalized door code, and driving directions will be sent in a separate email approximately 48 hours prior to arrival. 13\. What time is check-in and check-out? – You may check in any time after 4pm and you must checkout prior to 10am on the day of your departure. 14\. How do cancellations work? - Cancellations or shortened stays that are made more than 60 days prior to the arrival date will be fully refunded. Cancellations or changes that are made within 60 days of the arrival date are non-refundable. 15\. Do you provide travel insurance? - If cancellation is a concern, we do recommend the purchase of Cancellation Protection from CSA (this does not go through us). 16\. Can I cancel if the weather is bad? – Cancellations due to weather will not be refunded. 17\. How is the drive up to the cabin? – It is a 7 minute (3 mile) drive up the mountain. The roads are well maintained and paved. However, there are some steeper parts that are "scary" for some people. The driveway is paved and open for parking of 3 vehicles. 18\. Do I need 4-wheel drive? – Only if snow or ice conditions are present. It’s basically a rule of thumb for all mountain roads in this area, that if ice or snow conditions are present, you should have 4-wheel drive or snow chains. 19\. Is this cabin secluded? – Ridgewood Retreat is perched at the top of a hill overlooking the mountains. However, you can see other cabins from the decks & there are direct neighbors on either side. 20\. Was this area affected by the 2016 wildfires? – Yes. You may see evidence of trees and properties that were affected by the fires and possibly hear construction noise from other cabins being built. The photos we have displayed are current and the views are absolutely spectacular! 21\. Can I book through you direct? - We only accepts bookings and payments via VRBO. 22\. What TV package / channels do you provide? – We offer high speed wireless internet and streaming YouTube TV. Our cable package includes many channels such as ESPN, SEC Network, and FXM just to name a few! 23\. Is your chalet decorate for the holidays? — Ridgewood Retreat is the perfect cabin for spending the holidays! Your family and friends will feel festive and joyful in the beautifully decorated living area. We keep the cabin decorated in line with Winterfest in the Smokies, so expect to see holiday decor from mid-November to mid-January! 24\. Do you ever reduce the stated prices – On occasion, if upcoming unsold dates remain, we may reduce prices for those unsold dates. That will already be reflected in the pricing that you see here. 25\. Are there any days where Check-in or Check-out is not permitted? - There are only 3 days that we do not allow check-ins or check-outs. The cabin was beautiful, spotless, and incredibly cozy, making it the perfect mountain getaway. Every detail was thoughtfully done, and arriving to find a Christmas tree already set up made our stay feel extra special and welcoming.Brandon was a fantastic host—very responsive, friendly, and helpful throughout the entire process. Communication was easy, and he made sure our stay was smooth from check-in to check-out.If you’re looking for a clean, cozy mountain cabin on VRBO with a responsive host, this place is a perfect choice. I honestly can’t say enough positive things about it.Tip: If you’re planning a trip to Dollywood, fast passes are absolutely worth every penny! My family had the ultimate thrill-ride experience all day long because of them.Brandon, thank you for being such a great host. We’ve had bad experiences in the past, and you were the complete opposite. Decorated nicely with plenty of space for all. Games, pool table, video games were great entertainment. The large kitchen table was perfect for family time and meals. The view from both of the porches were so amazing. I can not put into words or even capture with a picture, must see. There werent any trees obstructiong the view. The owner was kind and did check in with us to see if we had any needs. Very short drive to the downtown shops. I have stayed in many different cabins over the last 30 years, and this would be one of my top recommendations if someone was looking for a cabin to stay at in the smokies! This is the cleanest cabin I’ve stayed in, with lots of personal touches that made it extra special! They had organizing shelves in every closet with hangers, extra sheets, needed items for baby/toddler. Great big deck with nice padded furniture. The view!!! The pictures don't do it justice. It's more beautiful in person. The hill to get there is a little narrow and steep, so just be aware if you're traveling with a bigger vehicle or in the winter. There's also a trolly right down the road where you can park for free and hitch a free ride into town so you don't have to pay for parking. Brandon reached out to us to make sure we got in ok and was available if we needed anything. 10/10 would 100% recommend to anyone traveling to the area and we can't wait to come back and visit! ##### Becky A. A great Mountain View right off both decks. Drinking coffee sitting outside was our favorite. This cabin had everything we needed, and the place was very clean when we arrived. Located very close to town on all pavement but yet far enough away to not hear the noise of Gatlinburg. We will definitely stay here again when we go back to the Smokey Mountains!!
